Freya's first Yule Ball wasn't one she could remember well, she had been alone and to be honest with herself she hadn't really tried to have some fun, mostly avoiding people and watching others have fun whilst trying to go unnoticed herself. This year however the second year was more than excited to go, the yule ball meant having fun and that was exactly what she was planning to do, even if it was by herself. It wasn't like going alone was a bad thing, she had seen multiple people go alone the previous year and somehow they were always capable of enjoying themselves, often finding others at the spot to have some fun with.
Dressed in a simple red dress Freya made her way into the great hall, taking it all in as soon as she entered. Once again the hall had been decorated beautifully and even though she knew by now that they put a lot of effort in decorations at Hogwarts, she was sure that she would still be impressed by it once she was in her last year at the school. Walking over to the sweets table the thirteen year old took a cookie, her eyes focussed on the dancing people as she took a bite and her mind trying to decide if she had the guts to go dance by herself, or if perhaps she should check otu the ice rink first.
