Open Some Ears and a Tail

Savannah had gone very simple for this costume, though she had slightly more money to be able to afford a costume, Savannah had decided she didn't want to waste it on something that was so trivial. Savannah had put on some cat ears, a cat tail and worn black and that was it, whole costume done. She walked into the great hall and went to the drinks, intending to get herself some pumpkin juice and then decide what else she might do with the celebration.

Evie was determined to come out of her shell this year. So she chose a costume that really, really pushed her comfort zone, and walked down to the dance. Her heart pounding in her chest, she found someone by the drinks and tried to strike up a conversation, her smile wobbly. "Hello," She greeted the cute girl. "I love your costume."

Savannah was approached as she stood at the drinks. Savannah glanced at the girl and raised an eyebrow a little at the compliment. "Thanks," she said, though she didn't seem all that thankful. "Yours is....interesting. What are you?"

Evie giggled a little shyly. "A show girl," She offered back easily. "They wear big extravagent dresses and dance and sing and stuff," She explained, rubbing the back of her neck.
