One thing was for sure, things had been unsteady for the young hufflepuff girl. She had been moved around more than anyone else she possibly knew. It was the problem with people in her sort of situation. She had powerful, busy parents, with a thriving social life that required the presence of the entire family. Charlotte was now sixteen and hadn't ever spent a full year in any school. This wasn't a good thing. She was now in sixth year, and she was trying desperately to catch up. The shoulder length locks of golden blonde hair shining in the morning light of what was her first day back at hufflepuff. She had begged, and begged her father to let her return to school. Some normality in her life she figured would do her well. She had none of that lately. Everything was just sort of happening at once and required her to be away. Eventually her father had let Charlotte have her way. Charlotte knew that in the months to come she would still be traveling a lot, it didn't matter if she did go back to school, at least for a little bit. There was no escaping the duties that she had, but she was happy that at least at the end of each time she could just come back to school. Beauxbatons was her third school. She had briefly gone to Hogwarts New Zealand, then she had briefly been gone to Hogwarts Scotland, then she'd been homeschooled, and then she had gone to Beauxbatons, now she was back at Hogwarts for hopefully the last two years. A lot of moving around hadn't served the girl too well, she had a lot of different methods of learning from each of the schools, and her education was lacking in many areas. But, it had never really been very important for Charlotte to do well in school. That had never been the point of her going. She was to learn, so she could be cultured and educated, but in the end, her parents had ideas of her marrying someone by the time she was at least 21 and then, just being a wife to this person. Her parents didn't think that she would ever work, and Charlotte had some different ideas. In all her moving around, she'd realised that she didn't really like what she did. Her life was fun, and interesting, but it wasn't settled, and she wasn't happy. She wanted to meet someone, fall in love, become a teacher, and just have a small family. Lead a modest life. She wasn't leading one now. She was living a life of luxury, the best clothes, the best things, the best everything. Yet, despite all of this, it still didn't make her at all happy. She was back in New Zealand, it was the brightstone weekend, and while she was happy to be back at school, the hufflepuff girl decided that she wanted to go to the village. She got up early, and went through the same motions she did everyday. Brush hair, hair spray, make up and then clothes. Everything so she was looking as perfect as she needed to be. After all, her father was a lord, and she was very technically in line for the throne.

After doing the final touches, and adding a very simple pair of dark nude pumps to finish her outfit, the young girl took her bag and headed out. Charlotte walked very carefully, she had been taught from a young age, to never run, and to always walk with her posture in perfect condition. She knew how to walk in heels, but she still did so very carefully. Making sure that each foot was in front of the other as she moved. Charlotte was only sixteen, but she looked a little young. The way the dress hugged her still forming figure, and the way she smiled quickly reminded people that she was still young. Charlotte wasn't actually sure what she was going to do with her day. In fact she just felt like she was walking around for nothing. For no purpose just killing the time until she had duties to carry out. Finally the girl noticed the familiar park, it was surprisingly empty, so she was able to just walk in and take a seat on the swing. Since Charlotte had last been at school in New Zealand, she had been a very small young girl. She was still very much the same person, just that she understood her role and her place in her family a lot more than she did then. She was also taller, her legs longer, and also made longer by the heels. Her hair was now in very controlled waves, with a lot of hairspray in it, so that it stayed in place. She had also developed a figure that was still changing. The girl placed her bag down beside the swing, and with the heels of her shoes swung back and forth. She looked a little out of place in the park, the hazel eyes watching the little kids running around. She was dressed very nicely, and her heels were a lot higher than they should be on a girl who was young like her, and just that heels were not park wear. She was however very lonely. And seriously desired some company. From someone.

Kate had needed to do a bit of shopping as she was running low on some things for school. So far the year had been pretty uneventful, for once Kate had been quite relaxed, she really didn't have much to be worried about except Stefan but compared to other years she had a lot of weight lifted off her shoulders. One of the things she had come to Brightstone for was food for Squishy. Her poor owl had been making long journeys with out much of a rest in between so she had decided to give her one of two days rest and she was going to get some special treats for her.She had gotten Stefan's letter yesterday. She was looking forward to seeing him,she missed him a lot.But it made her happy to know that he would possibly be returning next year.It was a lot to undertake as he had missed two years and he was going straight into NEWTs though she didn't know if you could do them with out completing your OWLs.Kate could help him if he needed to.She would gladly help, she loved helping people. It made her feel good knowing she made someone else feel good or at least made their day seem better then what it had originally.Even when she had been ill herself she had tried to make other people feel better or just give advice. Now that she had a relatively free year she was going to focus on making sure other people were nearly just as happy as her or just a bit better. She should probably be a charity worker when she was older. She would certainly be happy doing that job.Knowing that she was changing people's lives for the better would make her feel better.Maybe work somewhere out in Africa or something. But maybe that was something she would do for a year before returning to either New Zealand or where ever to find a job and maybe settle.Kate would like to do a lot of things before she settled into anything.Traveling the world was one thing she would love to do and maybe do one or two things that are a bit extreme but something that you would never regret. All these ideas usually floated around her head, she would think about them periodically in her free time. This year she had a lot more free time,a lot more then any other years.Maybe because she had nothing too serious to worry about she found she had more time on her hands. It was a nice feeling ,having a lot more free time.

It was a pretty nice day.Kate had bought everything needed and she had even had some lunch. The sun was shinning down and Kate could feel the her upper back and neck getting hotter because of her thick brown hair.As she had been eating her lunch she had been thinking about what Stefan had wrote in his letter. She was happy that he had finally found a picture of his mother. It was kinda sad that he didn't recognize her but it was nice all the same he had found one.She wondered though did Tybalt maybe recognize the house or maybe his parents did.It was worth a shot to see if he or his parents did. They had to start somewhere as she thought this might be a good idea. She hoped things did turn out well and that Stefan did find his family.Kate was walking through Takarokaro park.It was pretty empty but Kate just wanted to take a stroll. She had been practicing Qudditch a lot and as a result she was much fitter and she was starting to fill into her clothes a lot more. She was still thin but she was sure that she would never get back to the weight she had been unless she ate loads of food and sat on her butt for the whole day for a long period of time but that was never going to happen. She was too active and she didn't have a very big appetite so she was content to stay at her current weight and maybe she might put on some more weight in muscle.Their first Quidditch match was soon and Kate was nervous. The team had been practicing and she was pretty confident but it was her first match as co-captain and she didn't want them to loose as badly as they did last year. She knew they could do better and she knew they could win. As she walked through the park she noticed a park. She had loved the park as a little girl. The swing was her favorite thing in the park. She loved seeing how high she could go.She looked at her watch just to make sure she had some time and she made her way to the park. When she walked in there was another girl, who strangely seemed familiar to her but Kate didn't know how she would know someone as nicely dressed.Even though Kate was rich she didn't exactly know how to be rich.It was a surprise to her each time to know she had enough money to buy things that usually she would have been saving weeks to buy.She still out of habit looked for the cheapest things and saved. The only time she would ever have to act rich was when they went to the dinners and balls with their Dad.They had to do it for his work purposes, she hated the things with a passion.Sure she loved wearing the dresses and the shoes but it was so boring. The girl looked around her age but the fact that she was wearing the kinda shoes she was wearing in a park lead her to believe she probably acted older then Kate. But then Kate could be completely wrong, she was in a park after all.She looked nice but a little lonely. Kate was mature but she had a more childish side to her. Kate wasn't sure if the girl was maybe saving a seat for someone or waiting so she decided to ask because sitting down with out asking would be sort of rude "Hey"She said smiling approaching the girl "Are you saving that swing for anyone?"She asked

The silence of the park was proving nice to the young teen. She was sure that it would be like this for a little while, after all, anyone she had known was sure to have left by the time she had returned, or grown up so much that Charlotte would have trouble telling who was who. She was a little bothered by this, but it was to be expected. She'd had very few friends over the past few years. There had been the boy she'd liked in Hogwarts Scotland, but she'd pulled out just as they had begun to get close. So, she had since given up looking for long term friends. But here in New Zealand the girl was looking to put down some roots. She knew they would not be firm, but she had to put her foot down. After the two years here she could go wherever they needed her to. No matter where it was. Charlotte wasn't bothered about that, she just wanted a little more time to just be herself around others that she counted to be possible friends. Charlotte was a little difficult at times to get a long with. Her family had taught her how to be very polite, how to have the best manners possible, but the lesson on how to be a proper friend had been skipped. Without much consultation with Charlotte about the situation. She knew it would be difficult for her, but she was looking forward to the new challenge it would bring. A chance for her to excel and just be her age. She was fairly tired of acting older, acting like the sweet daughter of Lord Williams. She wanted to spend time in horrible school uniform, and without the heels. To be able to walk around the dorm room in casual clothing, because surprisingly enough she did actually own some. Just not a lot, and it took quite some courage for her to be able to wear them. She liked being smart and proper, but it was a chore in the morning, and she didn't see why she didn't look okay with make-up. On the days she didn't wear any, she thought that there wasn't much that was different about her. Her eyes were less framed, and her lips less plump, but she still looked okay. It was really all very tiring, and the young girl was ready to leave some of it behind for the structure regime of a school. It was just an unfortunate thing that she had turned up during a Brightstone weekend, and she liked to walk around in the fresh air that wasn't a school. The hazel eyed girl looked down at her shoes, she flattened out the edge of her dress. She was so out of place. When she had first arrived in New Zealand, she had always just dressed politely, but as she'd grown her style had too. She was a little stylish, mixed in with the usual politeness. One thing that was very different were the shoes. Before, Charlotte would've hated the shoes she now gladly wore.

Charlotte liked how she looked in heels, despite the fact that these heels were a little higher than her usual ones, and gave Charlotte a lot of added height, but were the nicest on her feet. They were also long enough that she could balance the swing with just the heel. She really wasn't in park attire, but being away from normality had done that to her. She had no idea what matched when it came to casual. She was much more of a dressy girl now. Even though she didn't really want to be. She'd been taught it and therefore she was it. Simple as that. Charlotte smiled to herself, this was nice. As much as it wasn't fun being alone it was also nice. As she glanced around again, the girl's eyes settled upon another girl who looked about her age. She was dressed in a much more casual sense. Charlotte thought that she couldn't possibly suit something like that. Plus, her family would have a fit if they caught her being too casual anywhere that the general public could see. Charlotte thought the girl looked familiar. But, she wasn't sure where from. The young Hufflepuff doubted that she would come speak to her, so she went back to just thinking about everything. Her mind drifted to her future, but she quickly disregarded the thoughts. Not wanting to get upset over her lack of one. A voice spoke, and Charlotte looked up, the girl was speaking to her. Charlotte stood up, which made her taller than the other girl. It was a natural habit for her to stand when she was speaking to someone she didn't think she knew. "Hi" She replied with a small polite but friendly smile. "No, I am not, would you care to join me?" Charlotte gave a very small bow of the head instead of giving a full curtsey, before she sat back down on the swing. Having to move the heels every so slightly so they wouldn't drag on the floor and were in front of her, her legs stretching out. "I have a feel we have met before" Then it occurred to her where. This girl was Kate. A girl not only in her year, but her house too. Maybe almost a friend. "Miss Kate!" The girl was older, that much was clear, she looked thin, but she also looked like she was doing better. "Charlotte Williams, I left school a few years back. We're in the same year and house I believe." The girl introduced, the smile now more of very happy smile. "You look amazing, Miss Kate. How is your sister, Miss Sara fairing?" Charlotte remembered the two sister. They had met a few times, and had a number of mutual friends. She had never believed that the first person she would meet upon her return would actually be someone she knew.

A lot of the people Kate had known in first and second year seemed to have disappeared. She wasn't sure that it was because she had let nobody in in second year or they had just moved schools or moved on and went to different friends.Everthing had been os new in First year and the friends she had made had made it so much easier to fit in even when she felt like such an outcast. The whole magical world had been completely new to her. When she had first gone to New Zealand and went into her first magical shop, she had been completely amazed. For the first time she had seen people use wands and actually see how life was by using magic. Even these days she still sometimes didn't think to use her wand. She had lived the life of a muggle for so long that the muggle way was lodged in her brain and it was hard to get used to using magic a lot of the time. Probably after May when she was able to use magic alll the time she would get used to it and actually start using it more. She wasn't sure if she would need to.She was perfectly content doing it the way she was doing it now.She liked the way she got the best of both worlds. She had the option of really living a magical life or she could live half and half.Kate wasn't sure what she would choose but maybe she wouldn't,she would just do what ever naturally and she wouldn't even notice. She didn't mind living away from her parents. She had been doing so for the past five years. In as sense she began a life with out her parents when she was eleven. Usually that happened when people went to college but for people who went to boarding school, especially in another country it was different. Hopefully if she passed her apparation exam she could just pop in and out to her house when ever she wanted to. She knew her Dad would need her for certain things. She wasn't sure who he would leave the estate to. Everyone had their own ideas on what they wanted to do when they left school and Kate was certain that running that estate was not something she would want to do. She was useless when it came to managing accounts or anything to do with business. She could be a very good hostess ,encouraging everyone to talk and mingle but that was it.She would hate to loose the house though. Even though she had lived in it for only five years she really liked the place. It was so old fashioned and huge and she loved everything about the place.

It was annoying Kate that she couldn't figure out how she knew this girl. Everything about her seemed familiar, especially when she stood up when she was introducing her. It was when she bowed that Kate knew they had met in Hogwarts. She was almost sure they were in the same house and year. She felt her name at the edges of her mind but Kate couldn't grasp it. With out realizing she frowned but she quickly changed it to as smile so the girl didn't think she was frowning at her. Kate wasn't sure whether to bow back so she just kept the smile on her face and pretended like being bowed to her all the time. "Sure, why not"Kate said putting her bag down beside the swing and sitting.Kate loved high heels but she wouldn't wear ones as high just for a walk in the park. She wouldn't go to all the effort of dressing herself too fancy. She would just apply a small bit of make up some days she would wear none. She would usually tie her hair up in a loose pony tail or bun but most of the time she left it down au natural. Kate was a little surprised to see that the girl also recognized her too. Then all was explained and Kate nodded "I remember now, sorry I couldn't think of your name though I knew I'd seen you before"Kate said smiling.Kate remembered meeting her once or twice.Kate felt a bit guilty for not noticing that she was gone. She had just had so much on her mind for the past few years that certain things had escaped her notice. Kate doubted she looked amazing it was nice to be complimented though. Not much people did, especially after that magazine. People looked down on her weight which was annoying but it wasn't as bad now. "You look amazing yourself,I love your shoes"Kate said pointing at the shoes that she would love to wear herself "Sure, Sara is grand, well she seems to be anyways"Kate said, she and Sara weren't half as close as they were since she and Charlotte had last met. They got on and talked but Kate wouldn't be as good at noticing if something was wrong with Sara because they didn't meet much. "So how have you been?"Kate asked genuinely curious. She wondered where Charlotte had been all these years.

The entirety of the girl's young life had been spent with her family. Her family were the best thing she had. They were always there for her and she was always glad to have them around. It was just a little frustrating for her when she had to give up the chance of a social life because of what her family was. Her family and the Moon family that Kate belonged to ran in the same circles. Charlotte was slightly more a piece in her families' main frame. And while Kate would have the option to not follow the family line and marry someone of equal stature, Charlotte was never that lucky. Her parents would cut her off if she even dared try something like that. Which was really why she didn't. The boy that Charlotte had liked at Hogwarts had not been the kind of boy easily accepted into her family. They had strict rules which she would have to live by. Her father and mother she was sure would eventually understand if she did not exactly follow their wishes, but she was also not too keen to find out differently. Her family was just different and she was very used to it. There was nothing much that could be done about it. Everyone was different, everyone had different upbringings and hers was just a lot more like a very proper and old-fashioned manner. The hazel eyes of Charlotte surveyed the girl in front of her. She had always enjoyed the company of all the people she'd met at Hogwarts. There hadn't been one where she didn't think that it would be nice to do again. Less could be about Beauxbatons. The girl had loved the school, but there were some girls that were seriously mean. That and the amountof veela's at the school looking always perfect had made Charlotte feel terribly inadequate. She had always therefore tried, while at Beauxbatons to look at her very, very best. It was why more than ever that she took so long to get ready. She felt she had to look beautiful all day, everyday. But it was hard work, and Charlotte thought it was a big hassle for what it was. The girl she was with was very clearly naturally beautiful. Which was something that Charlotte was pretty sure she wasn't. Her own make-up was subtle, but she needed it. Charlotte could see that Kate probably didn't. Which was good for her, but really did make Charlotte feel like she was back at Beauxbatons and the girl who didn't do well enough. Two different worlds she had to remind herself, as she swung the swing slightly back and then forward. A very small swinging.

It went unnoticed by Charlotte of how odd that Kate had found her curtsey. To the hufflepuff teen it was second nature she did it without even thinking about it. It was a habit she had yet been unable to kick. Which wasn't good, since she knew how odd it looked. Her father was very impressed by how naturally it came to her. She was less impressed by it. Charlotte didn't know anyone else who created people so naturally in such a fashion, but it was what she did, and it was difficult for her to stop. Finally, it appeared that the other girl remembered who she was. Charlotte had not stayed in contact with most of the friends she had made. She hadn't had the time, and to her it was a little pointless since she didn't really have people she could write to. While Charlotte had previously spent two years at the school, she had not made many friends that she could write to without feeling really weird about it. Now, she hoped that she could make a couple more friends, so that even if she left she'd have a few more fond memories with friends. She was determined to return each time and just try and get through as many classes as she possibly could within the next two years. "No worries, I am sure you had a lot on your mind." Charlotte gave a warm and friendly smile to the girl. "I am just very good at remembering faces and names. Comes with what my father does." Charlotte explained briefly. She was very good at remembering people. All of the parties their house had, always had so many people that she needed to remember the names of. It was a task and a half, but in the end she got it done and was good at it also. "Thank you Miss Kate. They were a gift from my brother for going back to school. He has quite an eye." Charlotte lifted one of her legs up to look at the shoe. They made her legs look very long, and very well formed. The dress was a little fancy but it suited her shape. The thin waist, and the long slender legs. "Though, they are a little higher than what I normally get, and I believe they are not really play park kind of shoes. Do you like fashion?" Charlotte gave a light laugh before lowering her leg and listening to Kate speak. She wondered if they had perhaps grown apart since the last time she had seen either one of them. "I have been busy Miss Kate. My family and the duties that come with being a member all include me, and I foremost have a duty to my family than to school and my education. My grandfather died a few years back, and my father took his place fully, which makes my father 32nd in line for the throne, and me, 35th. Or something like that, so my family has had a few changes in recent times." Charlotte didn't feel like going too much into it. It was fairly complicated, and even she didn't understand it most of the time. "But, I finally convinced my father that education is as important as family. And here I am" Charlotte pushed the swing back and let her feet of the ground to swing back forward.

"How about you Miss Kate? Has school treated you well?" Charlotte returned the question with a bright smile at Kate. She didn't know much about the goings on at Hogwarts. She'd been so far away from it for so long. She was just happy to be back at school that what had happened when she was gone didn't bother her much. "Have you given much thought to what you will do after school, Miss Kate?"

As Kate looked at Charlotte she realized she could have been exactly like this girl if her grand aunt had died when she was younger.Kate wasn't sure that was the sort of life she would like to live.It seemed to uptight and strict and too traditionally.Like the families didn't embrace the twenty-first century. In a way their family stood out because in many ways they were he newbies they had come into this at a very late stage. A lot of family had been living the way they did since they were born. They were raised to act the way they did.It was about duty and keeping up the family name.Kate had a feeling she would have been a rebel. She wouldn't stand for any of that. Forget duty and what not it was her life and she would live it the way she wanted to. If her parents even suggested that she marry someone they thought suitable there would be uproar. She wouldn't stand for that at all. She would feel bad for letting down her family but she was one of the only people who would chose her own destiny. No one would force her to do anything like marrying someone she didn't love. She had a feeling her parents knew that and after all she had gone through a lot of drama and pain over the area of love so if someone tried to take her away from Stefan now she would have none of it. There family was different that way too. The sort of stuck out like sore thumbs because they didn't live like most people in their 'circle' as her mother liked to call it.They weren't a very good example but as far as she could tell no one seemed to mind. They had been the center of gossip before as it had been obvious despite their facade that things hadn't been going right between them.First there was herself being all thin and sick, then herself and Sara not talking. Then it was obvious Ryan was drifting and Kate had been unable to attend one or two of the dinners because she had been in hospital for quite a considerable time after the operation.

Kate was happy with the life she was living. She lived her life as if nothing had changed..In some ways life had changed, really it was home life. They did after all live in a considerably bigger house and they were a lot richer which came with benefits but the increase in wealth hadn't affect them much. They were still almost the same family they were six years ago.Relations had changed but as a whole they were the same Irish family that had lived in Cashel for twelve years. That was probably never going to change and Kate was glad they hadn't changed. She loved the way that they still acted normal. The way of life lived by Charlotte wouldn't suit her at all and she felt a bit sorry for the girl who had missed four years of school for her family and way of life. She wondered had the girl acted in any bit crazy during her life.Had she worn normal clothes, not spend ages applying make up or fixing hair .Played football, basketball, play out in the rain or jump in puddles. There were lots of other things that Kate took for granted, she wondered if the two girls ever became closer could she convince Charlotte to do any of those things. She liked Charlotte and though her way of speaking took a little getting used to she was sure they could become good friends and Kate would then make it her mission to get Charlotte to do at least one of the things mentioned. Kate was good with faces but not with names. She could nearly always remember a face but not the name that came with it,it was a bit annoying because it was no good just knowing the face when you didn't know the name. "He does"Kate said agreeing, wishing Ryan was as good. But Ryan wouldn't have a clue what to pick."They are lovely"Kate said admiring the shoes. They suited Charlotte, the girl had a lovely pair of legs. Kate's were short, she got most of her height from her waist up and she wasn't very tall.Heels worked like magic for her legs.Made them look much longer. They weren't the sort of shoes you would wear to a park but then again where was the rule book for what shoes you could wear?It was just that a park was associated with young kids so the idea of wearing heels in a park was foreign.Climbing up ladders and actually playing in the park would prove awkward with those kind of shoes. "I guess you could say I do."Kate said thinking about her relationship with fashion. She wasn't totally in love with fashion. She would buy what ever clothes she liked which were more then likely stylish. "There are certain items of clothing that I love and I usually buy what ever clothes I like. I'm not really into make up,I wear it sometimes but usually for important events. And same with my hair,on a day to day bases I usually tie it up or leave it down"Kate said pretty much summing up fashion for herself.

"Are you very into fashion?"She asked curiously. She had a feeling she did but then again Charlotte may have to dress the way she did.She looked very neat and proper. She was a beautiful girl but Kate wondered what lay behind all the careful appliance of make up and long hours of getting the hair and clothes perfect.Kate was surprised by what was said by Charlotte. That definitely was a big change and no wonder she hadn't been in school but the poo girl seemed to have no social life. "That's a big change"Kate said. Charlotte had a totally different way of living life and even though Kate didn't agree it wasn't her place to voice her opinions. That was the way her family believed Charlotte should grow up. "That's great, school is important even though it may be a pain at times"Kate said smiling slightly.Kate began to swing slightly on the swing, her legs pushing her backwards and forwards. "There have been a few bumps since I met you last, quite a few really but things are good now which is all that matters"Kate said her smile a bit wider. She didn't want to bore Charlotte with her school life.It was pretty sad and she didn't like reminding herself of all those years.Kate looked down at her hands. She had done lots of thinking about what she would like to do after school but really she had no idea what she wanted to do.There were so many things one could do and Kate didn't want to settle on the first thing that was offered to her. "I have done a lot of thinking but I haven't really decided yet"Kate admitted turning to look at Charlotte "What's in store for you?"

Charlotte didn't ever feel sorry for herself and the way she had been brought up. In her eyes, she'd done the most that she could with a situation that wasn't the best. She wasn't in a situation that could be catogerised as bad, but she'd been limited to what she could and couldn't do. There were strict rules that she was meant to follow. It hadn't once really bothered her, it had just left her feeling like she would never really be good enough as just herself. Charlotte was the kind of girl who despite the unbringing she had, where both her parents were loving, was very self-conscious. She couldn't appear to be. On the surface, Charlotte was bubbly and at ease with herself. But, she struggled to feel good about herself unless someone told her she was doing well, that she looked nice. People did tell her she looked nice, but her parents didn't dish out compliments often. It was much more just an issue of her parents telling her, how to be better. She figured they meant well. She was the eldest daughter of Lord Williams and she was in line for the throne. She had to be the best version of herself that she could be, even if she wasn't actually like that in the slightest. Charlotte didn't really know. Between moving schools and constantly being too and from she had little time to discover who she really was or what she was really good at. Charlotte did help her family a lot at their charity events and she was always the one of her family to thank the catering staff for all that they had done for her family and the event. And she was very much into the fashion side of things. She loved shopping. As much as any other girl her age, and with her kind of budget did. That was really all she knew about herself. Her taste in music was roughly the same as her parents. She didn't really go out and play often. Never really had. She took long walks, in the heels. Always ended up going home and just needing to put her feet up for a good number of hours. Long enough for them to stop aching. Right now, her feet ached a little. Of course they would with heels that high they would. Charlotte's eyes glanced down at Kate's feet. Trainers. Charlotte wore trainers to go running, or when she went to sports classes. That was the only time she wore them. She wasn't really allowed to wear them at any other time. It was the same with some other shoes. Anything overly casual she wasn't allowed. There were some exceptions. Like if they were attending an outdoor charity event that required some less that the finest clothes, then she might just be allowed to wear trainers. But she hadn't been in a long while. Charlotte didn't mind, she didn't like how trainers looked on her feet. No matter the style or colour. It was a good thing that she didn't have to spend much time in them.

It had been the brother who was closest to her in age, the girl realised that he'd had help from his current serious girlfriend. It was a pretty big deal for both sides of the family. Since the girl that her brother was dating was the third in line to the throne of spain. It was pretty incredible. It was why she'd been able to spend time in the magical school in France. It had been close enough for her to go to. She had realised upon her arrival back in New Zealand that most people didn't realise the current movements and shifts in the monarchs of Europe. Charlotte hadn't told anyone. It didn't affect her family too much. It didn't change her status, or her brothers. But, depending on what happened in their relationship. She knew that her parents were interested in making a very similar situation for her in a few years to come. She knew that she really didn't have to. That if she truly desired to marry who she wanted, she could. But her parents were determined for her to marry up. She wanted to find true love. She wanted to find a prince, someone who would whisk her away from the life she was in currently. But, she didn't have much control over her life as it was. She didn't want to anger her parents by doing something they would not approve of. She had just managed to get herself back to education. She couldn't waste it on some guy who would probably end up finding someone better than her, prettier, less up tight. Just less like her. She was sure that any guy would be happier with anyone else. So, she really wasn't interested in finding the love that her heart was aching for. That it was truly aching for. She wanted love, she wanted someone. She wanted something. She just didn't have anything yet. The hufflepuff girl nodded along as Kate spoke of how interested in fashion. She couldn't imagine having it that simple. Charlotte found make up a hassle, she was always told that she needed it. The right amount to look good. Very specific products that her mother had told her when to use. Everything to just look the best she could. "Very. I love going shopping Miss Kate. I'm always taking my little sister out to the shops with me. Whenever I'm back in London, I spend the first few days shopping. But, for evenings, the really important ones, my parents bring people in so that I have an in style dress that is also the right kind of dress for the event. It's always fun." Charlotte wanted more control, but she understood the importance her parents seemed to stress with those kinds of events. "Make-up is a real hassle, but I am not naturally pretty. It is unfortunately necessary." She gave a light shrug and smiled slightly.

"Shoes are my weak point. I love shoes, I love heels." Charlotte shrugged slightly. Sure it was a big change. But she was more than used to having a lot more important things than just how she was. A part of the young girl could tell that Kate wasn't telling her everything, but it wasn't that surprising, since they had just met again after many years. Charlotte wanted to be better friends with her. It would be easy to keep in contact with her. Considering who her family was, and who Charlotte's family were. She made the mental note to get her father to invite them to more of their families events. "In store for me?" Charlotte said, with a tone of surprise. Almost as if she was aware that Kate probably knew the answer to that question. "Miss Kate, let us not kid. I am sure that you know what's in store for me. You have spent enough time in this life to know." Charlotte was smiling, as if she was okay with it. She had accepted her fate. She knew that when she left school, she would continue just having events. Beginning to throw her own. Doing charity work, and eventually settling down into a marriage that her parents probably ended up fixing. Or just fixing so they would at least date. Charlotte wasn't that okay with it, but she didn't want to disrespect her parents and specifically go against it. That wasn't like her at all. She wasn't that kind of a person. "I should inform my father to invite you and your family to more of our events. It would give me something more to do than shake hands and listen to my father talk." Charlotte said, thinking aloud. "Are you seeing anyone currently Miss Kate?" Charlottes asked, knowing that it was generally what girls their age talked off. Boys, relationships and famous boys. Charlotte didn't know that many famous people. She wasn't very up-to date but she was hoping that could begin moving the conversation towards what girl's their age, Charlotte imagined, talked about. She always wondered what her life would've been like if she'd been in some other family, Kate's or someone who had no rich relation.
