Bee didn't particularly care that she didn't have a boyfriend or girlfriend or anything because it wasn't as important to her as it was to the rest of her classmates. She enjoyed going to the events like the yule ball because they were always fun, but as she got older she was beginning to realize that these functions were mostly for couples to enjoy and it was getting harder to ignore. Still, that was not going to stop Bee from being left out - a party was a party - so she dressed in one of her nicer pantsuits, thinking it was rather feminine so it would work for Valentine's Day. She was really beginning to come into her own and liked wearing pants suits instead of dresses because she felt comfortable in them and stood out. She especially liked this one because she had bought it for herself with her hard earned honeydukes money so she wanted to debut it tonight. Currently, Bee was not dancing out on the floor, as she had no partner, but was having her own fun by shooting sparks at heart-shaped balloons trying to pop them which startled passersby every time she was successful. Perhaps Desislav was beginning to rub off on her.

Jerara didn't understand the need for another celebration and much more that to do with valentines days. Really there were a number of curious things in this world and not all that he fully understood. The boy who had never attended a formal dance until the last one, still had no reason for a formal outfit, and instead just wore his usual clothes, fairly dressed down for such an occasion dedicated to love. The young ravenclaw curiously made his way through the hall, looking at the loved up older students and not really understanding why they needed this celebration. Why did he need to see this, but really, if Jerara was so unhappy about this then why had he gone, he could leave at any time that he wanted. The boy was just curiously wondering around the room, stopped when he noticed a girl popping heart shaped balloons, he watched her for a moment before stepping forward towards her, "Hey!" he said, "Why are you doing that?" there was no hint in his voice that he thought what she was doing was wrong more just a curiosity in why she was doing such a thing, as a ravenclaw it appeared that Jerara lived up to the curious nature of his house.

Bee was enjoying seeing the gold sparks from her wand ignite and pop the heart shaped balloons when she heard someone say 'Hey.' At first she thought she was in trouble because she was sure the professors wouldn't approve of her actions, but she relaxed as soon as she saw it was another student and grinned. "Because love sucks!" she said dramatically before laughing. "Just kidding, because it's fun," she shrugged. "Try it," she suggested. "Plus, they regenerate, look," she said a little disappointed, pointing to a pink balloon she had popped that suddenly reappeared damage-free with a small pop. "As if this place doesn't have enough hearts all over it," she shook her head with a small chuckle.

The boy smiled at her she exclaimed that love sucked, he could agree with that indeed, he thought it was definitely stupid, he didn't quite understand it on the one hand, but he was a little young and if she said it was terrible then it had to really be terrible. He laughed easily with her and felt a little weird when she asked him to try it, he wasn't sure that they were allowed to do that, but when they reappeared he thought it wouldn't be too made, "Is there a spell?" the young ravenclaw took out his wand and pointed it at the balloon, but instead of saying a spell just poked the balloon with his wand and it popped with the little sparks. He found himself smiling widely at it, before looking back at the girl, "That is fun!" he exclaimed happily, "You were right! How did you figure out that they would do this?" he asked curiously wanting to find more so that he could pop them too.

Bee smiled happily at the sight of the boy joining her and then enjoying the process of popping the balloon. She had feared that he would find her antics childish, even if he did look a little younger than her. "Anything is possible with a little magic," Bee winked, "You just gotta try!" Bee loved magic, she thought it was the greatest solution to everything, so she was a big proponent to poking and prodding things with your wand. She looked over at the boy again and said, "I'm Bee, what's your name?"
