Zared had finished his last exam and had decided rather than spending time in the loud and overly annoying great hall that he needed peace, and had begun looking for the kitchens, he'd overheard from some of the older students that the kitchens were a good place to go and eat and avoid the crowds of the great hall, which to Zared was something he definitely wanted. The boy had excused himself from Lestat before heading out of the dorm and to the kitchen's, it was a little before most would converge on the great hall, but he was feeling pretty confident about where he was heading and in being able to avoid the crowd of people, he assumed that the kitchens would be noisy but he knew he'd be able to deal with that a whole lot better with that noise over the noise of the great hall.

The young slytherin stepped into the room and was unsurprised to find it filled with elves currently running around getting the last of the preparations in order before the meal was served, he waited until one of them noticed them, and in a low tone explained what he was doing, there was no room for question or for contradiction in his tone, Elves were below him and disgusting in every way. He kicked the elf lightly as it scurried away to do as Zared had asked, and Zared took the time to find himself a place to sit on one of the four tables in this room, they would just have to work around him. The young boy settled himself, taking out a book, and basking in the peace and quiet of the room, and as one of the elves brought him water like he'd asked, he not very politely requested that they work quietly, and so in being able to read his book in the lovely silence of the room, a well deserved reward for all his hard work.
