Social Event of the Year

Damien took one quick look at himself in the mirror just to make sure he was presentable.His mum had sent him the suit a few days ago and luckily it fit perfectly.He actually quite liked it.This year he was going with Andi as friends.Last year he had gone with Hariah as friends also.He hadn't see her in a while actually and he was currently teaching her the guitar and some singing.It still kind of surprised him that not a lot of people knew about music and musical instruments.He had know about them since he was barely three years old probably before that.This year he had nothing to do as the Glee club weren't preforming so now he could just enjoy the Ball.he wasn't much of a dancer but if Andi felt like it he was sure he would suck it up and dance.he was looking forward to the food.It was his second year in Hogwarts and the Yule Ball was already something he relaly enjoyed and he was glad they did something like this as it was a fun social event.He walked out of the common room down to the Hall and gazed up at all the decorations.The place looked amazing and there was already loads of people dancing and he could here the new quartet playing their piece.He walked in in and waited for Andi to arrive.

 

[Andrea Kelize]

A yawn escaped Andrea's lips as she combed her hair while waiting for the grandfather clock on the side of her cabinet to strike seven. Andrea just finished taking a long bath and has finished brushing her teeth and combing her hair and was now dressing herself. She put on the purple dress sewn by her mother and was sent to her last Monday when Andi wrote to her and told her she was going to the Yule Ball with her friend. Her mother was the one who sewn her dress when she went to the ball last year. It was a big red dress and to Andrea, it was the kind of dress she could never be caught dead in. She went to the ball with her Hufflepuff friend, Angie Vanderbilt last year and this year, she'll be going with Damien. Andrea didn't know who Angie will go with but she hoped it was someone good. The two friends haven't talked for a long time and it bothered Andrea a bit. Last time she saw Angie was that time she was at the Courtyard. Her friend gave her a letter for them to meet and it turned out Angie had a family problem. When Andrea finished dressing herself, she put a clip on her hair and put on this pink thing that Hariah left on her cabinet. Andrea doesn't know what the little thing is called but she heard Angie call it a 'lipstick'. When Andrea finished her self-chore, she took a look at her appearance and made a slight shrug to indicate that she's satisfied on her look. Just then, the clock stroke seven and Andrea knew it was time to go.

She went down all of those exhausting stairs, carrying a purple bag. The Yule Ball really isn't something to get excited about in Andrea's point of view. It was just a ball. There's nothing special about it. Eventually, for her, it would get boring. She kept telling herself that the only reason she's going is because Damien asked her and also because she knows there will be pumpkin pies. She hurried off the corridors and made her way to the Great Hall. She caught glimpse of Damien in a black suit and made her way towards him. "Hey!" She greeted with a smile as she surveyed him from head to toe. "You look....neat" She commented with a smile.
