Broom in hand, beams of spring sun in the sky, Lizzie felt good to be out on the pitch again. It finally felt decently warm to be wearing a t-shirt, and Lizzie took that as a perfect reason to get in a little practice on her own. Their marathon game against Ravenclaw had gone surprisingly well, and Lizzie was itching to improve on that record. She mounted her broom one handed, bat in her other hand and Bludger under her arm, and took to the skies, laughing in delight as the wind trickled through her hair. Nothing to worry about but sun and wind and the game she was really growing to love, as much as she loved skiing and snowboarding. Letting the practice Bludger go, Lizzie swung her bat in a wide circle, and then chased after it, laughing in delight as she zoomed across the pitch.

The Quidditch Pitch was not somewhere that Zenia often ventured, but she was taking full advantage of the beautiful weather. She was wandering around the grounds by herself, fully enjoying the sunshine and the peace. Zee wasn't one to seek out peace a lot, but she definitely couldn't be in the Common Room with people she didn't like, especially on a day like today. Strolling towards the Quidditch Pitch, Zenia heard what she thought was a familiar voice. She looked up to the skies, and saw Lizzie and a grin grew on her face. It was such a wonderful feeling to see someone having such a great time. "Lizzie you crazy girl!" Zenia called out, laughing as well. Quidditch hadn't fully grabbed Zee's attention yet, but she could imagine herself being a beater if she were to try out.

((I'm so sorry this is so late! My absence wound up way, way longer than I was planning on ;_; ))

Lizzie's laughs and the wind in her hair as she shot across the pitch were almost enough to drown out the sound of her own name from below, but Zenia's voice was enough to reach the girl's ears and she looked down, smiling and waving at the sight of one of her roommates. "Hey!" Lizzie called out happily, turning about and soaring down to meet the other girl. "Just havin' fun." She said with a grin, doing a quick barrel roll as she approached Zenia and hovered in front of her. "What're you up to?"

That's absolutely fine!

Zenia stepped back in surprise as her friend zoomed near her, spinning upside down and then coming right again. The Gryffindor laughed again, clapping her hands in delight. "You're so good! I haven't been on a broom since first year!" Zenia exclaimed. The smile was still on her face as Lizzie asked what she was up to, but she shrugged her shoulders. "Just trying to find some peace and quiet - for the first time in my life." Zenia laughed again. "But, well - you know how the Common Room can be."

Lizzie's eyes widened as she dismounted gracefully. "Seriously?!" She asked, tucking her broom under her arm. "I can't imagine not flying for so long, you should give it a go!" She gave Zenia an encouraging smile. First year with nothing to do before joining the team had felt like it dragged on for an eternity. Lizzie couldn't imagine going whole years with nothing to do. It made her antsy just to think about. She nodded sympathetically to Zenia's other statements though. "Yeah, fair enough. I usually come here when I want peace and quiet. Or go for a jog by the lake or something." She smiled. "I love the common room, but it's not great for quiet time..."

Zenia watched in awe as her friend dismounted with such ease. Zenia had never felt fully comfortable on a broom, and though she was sure that flying was a great feeling for those who were comfortable, it never crossed her mind to try it again. When Lizzie told her to give it a go, Zee lifted her eyebrows and eyed the broom, before looking back at Lizzie. "What - now?" She asked incredulously. Zenia didn't think she'd be able to do it, though she was usually reckless, getting on a broomstick was a different kettle of fish. She laughed and shook her head. "I think the only time you'd get quiet in the Common Room is when everyone is asleep. Which is not ideal, because that is sleep time."

Lizzie laughed, holding up her broom. "Sure! Give it a try! If you're not sure I can hop on too and take you for a fly!" She smiled encouragingly, waggling the broom. Lizzie hadn't taken someone else on her broom since Caro had been little, and gone flying with her and dad to keep an eye on the slopes. It'd be nice to try again. She laughed at Zenia's comment, nodding in agreement. "I don't think anyone would really wanna wake up at four in the morning just to get quiet to work on an essay or something..."
