It was half way through the first week and Andy was already enjoying the moments she was teasing the boys about the school, flirting may have been new to her but she was picking it up faster than she thought possible. She woke bright and early to her alarm muttering that it would perform the sonorus spell if she didn't get up soon. Hitting the witches hat until she shut up, Andy got out of bed and washed and dressed quickly into her jeans and sweater. From under her bed she grabbed her broom and with a smile pulled her long hair back and tied it in a braid while making sure the others were all still asleep. Her alarm clock often had the habit of waking everyone else but her. Grabbing her goggles and boots she made her way to the common room to pull them on and tie them up. The goggles she left dangling in her hand as she climbed through the portrait and muttering a goodmorning to the portraits about her ran hastily down the stairs.
Only when she was out side the huge doors of the castle did she allow herself to smile and inhale the cold bright morning. She hadn't felt this alive in a while and thought perhaps today she would give all her fooling around a decent enough break when an owl screeched over head. Looking up she recognised the owl immediately as Legend, Bruin's owl and her smile grew brighter. Perhaps this letter would be different to the one that she had gotten on her first day.The owl merely dropped it and flew off, not bothering to wait for a reply. Andy frowned at that but ripped open the envelope and began to read.
Andy thought at first that it was a joke and there was more on the other side but turning it over discovered nothing but the blank creaminess that the other side would have remained but for the few paltry words that were hastily scribbled. No thought or effort seemed to have been put in to it at all. Andy's eyes filled slightly and she tightened her grip on her broom as she now began to jog towards the pitch. Her jogging soon became a sprint until she arrived at the pitch slightly out of breath but exhilarated. She crumbled up the letter and tossed it into a nearby pile of debris that had been piled up by the new groundskeeper, with the intent of cleaning the lot together perhaps. She didn't know and quite frankly didn't care.
Andy held out her broom and straddled it, pulled her goggles down over her eyes and kicked off, shooting high into the air at a brutal climb. Her mood had taken a drastic turn because of that letter. So he obviously didn't give a damn about her anymore, wasn't even giving himself the grace to sign off with anything more than his name. Andy felt crushed, she had given him her heart. He hadn't asked for it she had willingly given it. What she had said earlier that week to Kat was so true, her soul was too cursed, her heart was too crushed. She had only one thing left that no one seemed to be able to destroy completely and that was her body. Goodness knew she had been bombarded with jinxes and hexes in Durmstrang but still she had survived, albeit just barely but she had. For some reason Andy never considered her mind in all of this, because after witnessing the image of her evil self during the winter vacation, she did not trust that much any more either. The speed at which she flew about the pitch was neck breaking but she loved it.

Hi Andy,
hope all is well with you. I was delighted to hear about your promotion to Co. Captain of the team with Kat. You deserve it, just keep on top of your studies at the same time. This year is very important for you after all. This is only a brief not as I have much to do, I just wanted to congratulate you.
Bruin
