Tess was over the moon after hearing that she was part of Hufflepuff's Quidditch team and without any thought about it she went straight to the Dungeons to search out a boy who had encouraged her to try out. They hadn't seen much of each other since only the occasional breakfast shared but now they were sure to see more of on another as she knew that they would be playing against one another. She wasn't sure why she had rushed to him instead of celebrating with her Hufflepuff group of friends only that when she walked through the Dungeons she hoped that she would find him somewhere there as the Slytherin Common Room was uncharted territory for the first year and she mostly chose to avoid them but her friend turned competitor was the exception. He never seemed to think that she was a bad person for having normal parents and she could appreciate that more than he likely knew. The long limbed girl walked excitedly through the corridor with the cold floor touching the balls of her bare feet until she saw a girl dressed in Slytherin gear and politely Tess asked her a favour. "Can you please get Asaiah Murphy for me?" The girl didn't even know if he was in his house currently but as she stood waiting she hoped so because she wanted to celebrate with him maybe do something fun because they had both made full positions on their respective teams.

Asaiah had been reading a book his father bought him before the new year started when an older student approached him, telling the third year that there was a girl waiting for him outside the Slytherin common room. He frowned and closed his book. He thought he had told Marisol that he didn't want to do something fun after class because he'd been excited to read the gift so with a sigh walked towards the entrance to the Dungeons, thinking back on their conversation and whether he actually told his best friend that or not. His lips curled into a smile when he walked out of the common room and into the Dungeon corridor. ''Tess!'' Asaiah said excitedly. He had not expected that Tesla was the girl who asked for him so it was a nice surprise seeing her standing in the dark corridor. ''Is something wrong?'' the third year asked, wondering if she needed his help with homework or Quidditch practice. Though he did know that Tess participated in the Hufflepuff try-outs, because she had told him at breakfast one time, Asaiah was unaware that she was part of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team now.

Tess, who was already smiling widely, could feel her cheeks begin to hurt as she saw Asaiah exit his common room and the girl grinned and rushed to him to give him a hug. She was aware she probably should've asked him first if she could give him one as some people didn't like to hug too much but the girl giddily stepped away from the hug and stood on her tip toes as she said, "I'm a chaser!" She grinned and covered her mouth with her hand, embarrassed at how happy she was from this but she could only want to celebrate with Asaiah himself. "We have to celebrate because I heard a certain Slytherin made Beater too," she said with a small wink after putting her hand back down at her side. She hoped he wouldn't find this intrusive or that he was too busy with homework to give her this time because she really felt that doing something silly and fun would make the rest of the day even better.

Asaiah smiled widely when she hugged him. Although he was slightly confused as to why he deserved the hug the boy didn't struggle when she put her arms around him. His smile curled into a grin when Tesla told him that she had made the team. He was glad that she had listened to his advice because she really seemed to be good at the position when they practiced last year. Asaiah chuckled at her comment on making the team as well. He was still overjoyed that Alana had chosen him over Rome to be a beater this season. He knew that he would not let her or the other members on the team down especially with the bat Wyatt gave him for Christmas last year. "Congrats!" The third year said, genuinely happy for his Hufflepuff friend. "Just know that I might have to send a bludger towards you now." He told her, grinning widely. Though he really wanted to get back to his book inside the common room, he couldn't help to agree with her that they needed to celebrate the fact that both of them were on this season's teams. "Sure thing, what do you want to do?" Asaiah asked.

Tess playfully rolled her eyes at Asaiah as he warned her. She wasn't a very competitive person and yet his little taunt brought her to reply in kind. "I'll be too busy scoring on your keeper to notice that you can't aim your bludgers very well." She gave him a playful wink to show she was just kidding but the Kiwi girl felt sure that she didn't need to because she was relaxed as could be around him and if she was going to play against any house first she was glad it was against Slytherin so even in the competition she would see a friendly face looking back at her. With the question of what they should to do celebrate, Tess was admittedly stumped because she had not planned so far in advance. Instead she had just gone to the first person she had thought of that she wanted to celebrate with but now this certainly was a conundrum. "Hmm... Do you want to go to the forest and see if we can find any cool magical animals there? I heard unicorns are real," Tess still was amazed that she could sincerely say such a thing and not find it entirely ridiculous. She didn't really mind what they did as long as it was fun so she shrugged her shoulders as if to show that to the older boy.

Asaiah smirked at Tesla's comment. ''Keep on dreaming.'' the boy replied back returning the playful wink. Although Tesla was a Chaser on one of the rival teams, the boy was excited to practice more with her in the future, as she had been quite a nice person to practice with. Asaiah was happy that more and more of his friends were joining their house teams because it meant that he could ask them all for a friendly practice game soon, which was something he had been looking forward to already. Stepping aside so fellow Slytherins could enter and exit the common room, Asaiah nodded his head in agreement when Hufflepuff girl suggested going to the forest to look for magical creatures. Had Tesla still been in her first year Asaiah would have said no because he hadn't forgotten about the time he and Marisol went in themselves. But she wasn't a first year anymore so figured that she would at least be sort of capable to defend herself from the danger lurking deep inside of the forest - or a dog-professor. ''Okay.'' He said smiling at the girl in front of him. ''Race you there?'' Asaiah asked, already set to run towards the Forbidden Forest.
