Hilde headed down to the pitch, her broom in one hand and a note pad in the other. She was dressed comfortably, her favorite boots on her feet and a favorite t-shirt and jeans covering her. Taking her place in the middle of the pitch, she set her things down and waited for Theodore, her co-captain, and those trying out to arrive. She knew that she was secure in her position, the same with Theodore, but every one else was going to have to try out. This would be interesting to see happen this year.

OOCOut of Character:
Welcome to try outs!

Here is how this will happen. First, post your entrance to the pitch and gathering in the middle around Hilde and Theodore. Introduce yourself to the captains and state what position you will be trying out for. We will then give instructions for each individual position once enough people have arrived. We will not only be looking for the starting team, but alternates as well. Don't let the number of people trying for any one position scare you off. We need at least three or four alternates!

Theodore stood silently next to Hilde as she awaited for the Hopeful Slytherin Quidditch Team members to show up and get these Quidditch tryouts going. Bring a Quidditch Co-Captain, and Head Boy got a little tiring but he was adjusting to it and now he knew what he was doing a lot more than he was the first day he had started out. This was his last year of Quidditch so he was hoping for a good team to help him take the Slytherin House to victory with the Quidditch cup. He was also looking for a bit of a variety too, not only talented but people who could bring character to the team. If they couldn't act by the rules or like a team member should then he didn't want them, it was Hilde's call too but he hoped that she agreed. Slytherin already had a bad enough rep so they didn't want to further flush it down the drain. Due to the lack of napping he had, Theodore looked a lot less lively today than he had in awhile, but he wasn't going to be rude or mean..just...not lively. His eyes shifted over to Hilde before he set down his Quidditch supplies onto the ground gently as he wasn't going to need them for the most part, either way he was hoping they had a lot of people tried out and all of the positions filled up. Even some extras would be amazing, sometimes it was just fun watching people try out. It always got him really pumped for Quidditch himself. Professor Styx trusted the both of them to lead Slytherin to good standings and Theodore was prepared to do just that.

When he saw some people headed this way he nudged Hilde and turned his emerald eyes onto the area, he wondered which positions would be a popular try for this year and hopefully that most of them would also have a second position in mind just in case they didn't get their first choice. With a flicked of his hair Theodore was ready to get this tryouts going right now, so they had better hurry up and get out here.

Azerail heard that there would be try outs today, but he had a little uncertainty about it. He held his broom in his hand, and he headed down to the Quidditch pitch. He would be keeping his Keeper position, if it were the last thing he was going to do for today. With his Quidditch gear on his tall form, he made his way down to the pitch, and he smiled as he approached the two co-Captains. He announced to them proudly, "Azerail Varius, going to Keeper, again." Azerail leaned against his broomstick, and he waited for the other people to come by. He was going to make them proud, because he was experienced in Quidditch. At least, he was good with being a Keeper, but nothing else really. He had the gear with him, but he did not put on the stuff just yet. He wanted to know what he needed to do before he would decide to put it on.

Aleyha held her Amethyst streak in her white hand, and her red eyes were shining with competition. Aleyha took her beater's bat into her other hand and she was ready for try-outs again. She was ready to show off what she had to the two friends of hers and one was her love. Aleyha exited on the Slytherin house and she made her way out to the Quidditch Pitch. She rubbed sunscreen on her revealing skin which was not much at all. Aleyha greeted them, "Aleyha, trying out for Beater." She twirled her beater's bat in her free hand and had a smug smirk upon her lips. Aleyha was good to go, and she could not wait to try out her skills earned over the year. She had known more than last year and she would be sure to show them everything she got this year. Aleyha wanted to try out some moves that she read about in some books of Austin's.

Eden was nerves about trying out for Quidditch. It was something that she had always wanted to do but for one reason or another it had never happened for her. Walking onto the pitch Eden held her broomstick firmly in hand. Making her way over to the to the co-Captains. Eden smiled at both of them one was her friend Hilde the other she really just did not know that well. "Eden Koshiba, going for Chaser." Eden said in a bright voice as she went to stand next to Azerail who she only remembered his name because she always saw him in Potions class. Eden knew that she could fly well and when she and her brothers and sisters would play Eden always played as one of the Chaser but this was different from a backyard pick up game.

Alex walked onto the Quidditch Pitch, nervous to be trying out for the Quidditch team for the first time. With his Emerald Streak in one hand, he wandered over towards the centre of the pitch where everybody was gathered. Noticing the Captain and Co-Captain, he smiled, and announced what he would be trying for. "Alex Blade, going for Chaser." He said, hoping that there wouldn't be too many people there, and he hoped for sure that they wouldn't be better then him. But most of all, he didn't want to be reminded of his brother, but it was already too late for that, for he saw Eden there, and she was the biggest reminder of all. Sighing, he stood there wand waited for the rest of the people that would be trying out to arrive so that they could begin.

Isabella had a broom in her hand, a gift from her father for the twins. Isabella got on her Quidditch gear, dressed in green. Isabella walked out of the castle and went straight for the pitch. She saw a few people there, but she recognized the co-captains, she assumed, which were the oldest here. Because she had like, no experience with Quidditch, she had no hope on becoming a full time player. She just wanted to be an alternate, if that. She approached them, her magenta eyes glowing with anxiety and nervousness. "I am Isabella Romanes, and I am trying out for an alternate Beater." She may become a full time player next year, but definitely not this year. Isabella hoped that she would make a good impression upon them both, so that they could see her for what she is made of.

Joceline still couldn’t believe that she was actually doing this. She never liked flying and only watched Quidditch from the ground, where he feet firmly remained – the young Slytherin had a strong dislike for heights, flying, Quidditch – anything that involved her being off the ground. Having stayed with Thomas and Ivan she had seen the two boys play so much Quidditch that it hadn’t taken them long until they finally persuaded her to try it out for herself. It wasn’t a pretty sight at the start and she knew that she wasn’t meant to be off the ground at all but she swore Ivan could make her do anything with very little bother. Although throughout the course of the holidays she had gotten over the whole height problem and she felt that she had gotten somewhat decent on the broom and after some persuasion she decided to go try out for the Slytherin Quidditch team, although she wasn’t holding much hope for herself as she probably wasn’t as good as people who had been playing Quidditch for much longer than she. Entering the pitch she went over to Theodore and Hilde and informed them, “Hi, I’m Joceline Richarde and I’ll be trying out for Chaser.” Once she told them that she went over to the benches and waited for the try outs to start up.

Alyss headed down to the Quidditch Pitch, her brown eyes glinting excitedly as she saw some of the familiar players from the Quidditch Team this year, including Theodore, Hilde and Aleyha. She frowned slightly when she saw Alex but quickly composed her face and smiled slightly at Theodore and Hilde. 'Alyss Summers, trying out for Chaser again.' She said simply. She was trying out for the same position this year as she had bought a streak, and figured that since this broom was faster, and she was one of the smaller members of the team, she would be able to weave between the other players on both teams as she went to grab the Quaffle. She gripped her broom tightly in her hand as she gazed around her.

Shaylah walked down to the quidditch pitch feeling confident. She had played quidditch with her dad all the time when she was younger and she'd found it great fun and now she finally had the time to try-out. Shay saw a small gathering of Slytherins in the middle of the pitch and walked over to them. She already knew who the captains were so she stood by them. "Hi. I'm Shaylah. I'm here to try-out for beater" Beater was the one position that Shay really loved. She had a strong arm and a good aim so it was easy for her to hit other players off their brooms. She just hoped that was enough to get her on the team. She'd wanted it for so long that she never thought of what she would do if she got rejected.

Theodore didn't even know why some of these people were bothering to try out but he didn't say anything to them. The needed a full team and for all he knew they could more skilled then he thought. After a moment of waiting he stepped out and explained what they needed to do.

Out of Character:
All righty guys, let's get this underway! Let's see, all of you that are trying out I want you to RP this:
Chaser: RP having a quaffle, and shooting it through the North Hoops
Beater: RP with a bat, and beating the bludgers and guarding the Chasers
Keeper: RP guarding hoops.
Seeker: RP catching the released snitch. There will be more than one, and also...be realistic.
If you are going for multiple positions, then you may need to post more than once. But those trying out for one position just need one decent post.

If you didn't get a chance to post earlier just have you character come to the pitch and say what position they want to try out for and include a roleplay in their post.

Shaylah picked up a bat and got on the broom she had forced her mum to buy her. It was a pretty good broom and she was pleased with having it. She felt her feet leave the floor and was glad to finally be flying again after a while of being stuck on the ground. Shay felt she might be a bit rusty but once she got going she'd be able to hit the bludger.
Shay looked around for the bludgers and spotted them almost instantly. She missed the first few shots she went for but after that she got almost all of them. She just wished she'd had a practice before hand that way she wouldn't have been so rusty. Shay spotted the bludger heading towards one of the people going for chaser so she shot in that direction and hit it through the hoops. She just wished she could have done that with the quaffle. Over all she thought she'd done pretty good for her first try out.

The thing about being a beater for a year, Aleyha knew just what to do and how to do it. She gripped her bat and she got on her Amethyst streak. She soared up to the sky at incredible speed, and she smirked. She was going to be a good beater, and she was going to make it on the Quidditch team, she just knew it. Aleyha narrowed her red eyes and she soared forward to see one of those black buggers. She swung her bat which was in her left hand and with a loud CRACK, the bludger soared off in the opposite direction. She tossed the bat into her right hand, and then she swung again protecting the chaser while hitting the bludger toward the ground this time.

Aleyha snickered, "Saved your ass." Aleyha put the bat back into her left hand because she was left-handed. A black streak flew close to another chaser, and immediately, Aleyha batted the bludger out of harms way. For someone whom seemed so little, because of this, she was gaining some power in her arms, batting those bludgers clear across the pitch. Aleyha did not know who else was trying out, but she was confident in her skills however. She chased after bludgers, and she continued to bat them away from the team. Or those that would be trying out for the team rather. Aleyha then decided to land, and she felt some soreness gather in her arms, but it was nothing. She was just needing to get out and get some more practice in. Aleyha wondered how she did for her try-outs, and she just hoped that she did not make a fool of herself, which she did not see herself doing anyway.

Alyss was nodded at first to begin, so she grabbed the Quaffle. She was glad that she had been Chaser last year and wanted to do all she could to show the others that despite being younger, that she was a force to be reckoned with, no matter how tiny she looked. Plus, since she was chaser, and the only one that was Chaser from last year that was trying out again this year, she could show the others how to do it.

The young girl climbed onto her streak and shot up into the air towards the north hoops, making sure that she kept an eye out for the bludgers. She heard the familiar whistling sound as a bludger came near her, and began descending, to get out of the bludger's way, when one of the girls who were trying out but for beater, appeared and had immediately whacked the bludger out of her way. 'Thanks!' She called out, but not letting it distract her focus.

Using her legs to direct the broom, leaving her left hand held tightly on the broom and her right hand holding the Quaffle, she noticed the Keeper was slightly more on the right side so she aimed for the far left hoop, and held her breath in expectation as the Keeper hurried to catch the Quaffle. Swearing, when she realised that the Quaffle had just glanced off the Keeper's fingers, and was falling, Alyss quickly dived to catch the Quaffle, and she slowly soared up. Her mind was whirring with ways to distract the Keeper so she could get the Quaffle in the hoop. She was nothing, if not cunning.

She shot forward as if she was going to shoot, and feinted to the right, and quickly shot it in the left hoop. When the Keeper quickly shot after the right hoop, and by the time he had realised, it was too late, the Quaffle was soaring in the left hoop. Alyss couldn't help smirking in satisfaction, especially when the Keeper had to chase the Quaffle and throw it back to her. He had thrown it a little too hard, and as she caught it, she winced a little from how hard the ball felt. She wasn't going to wimp out though, and give up. She was going to get the last shot in the hoop. She knew that he wouldn't fall for the same trick again, and she frowned when she noticed that he was in the middle hoop. She shot forward again, pretending to feint, and hoping he would believe it was just a feint, let the Quaffle out of her hands towards the right hoop. He had thought it was a feint, and by the time he realised, it was too late and it had gone through the right hoop, though it was a close one.

With a sigh of relief, she headed back down to the pitch, where the others were, and dismounted off her broom, sitting on the grass, ready to watch her competitors that were also competing for the position of Chaser. She knew that her last shot was a lucky one, and it was thanks to her feinting in the shot before that she had been able to get it in. She hoped that the Captains wouldn't hold it against her, as in a match, you needed a certain amount of skill and luck, and she had enough of both for more than one person.

Alex gripped his broom as everyone was given instructions about how they were meant to go about they're tryout. This should be easy for Alex, he hoped so anyway. He knew what he was doing on a broom, but that didn't necessarily mean people would think he was any good at the position he was trying out for. He would have to prove that to them himself. Alex grabbed a quaffle, and mounted his broom, taking off into the air. There was no other team out there, and no set time limit, except for the sun setting anyway. Alex was here so that he would be able to pass this, and he would do just that.

Alex sped around the pitch with the quaffle under his arm, being careful not to get hit by the bludgers. He knew there would be people that were trying out for beaters that were supposed to be whacking the bludgers away from people who were trying out for the other positions, at least .. he hoped that was what they were here to do. Alex chuckled, and got back on task, as he was still speeding towards the goal post, lucky he had time to stop, and think about how best to do this. The keeper was blocking the middle ring, and they looked like they could quite easily get to either of the other two.

Alex swerved towards the left, trying to lure the keeper down there so he would have a clear shot at the right hoop, and surprisingly, it actually worked out quite well. He flew over to the right hoop and threw it towards the post watching the keeper zoom back over, but not before the quaffle flew through the hoop. Though it had been close, his plan of action hadn't been exactly foolproof. He flew back down to the ground, and waited to see what the rest of the participants would be able to come up with, Alex just hoped he would be able to get the position.

Not only was he trying out, but Azerail was going to be assisting in the Chasers to try out as well. This was a little unnerving for someone to do, but alas, once he got warmed up, it was rare that Azerail would let someone have a quaffle soar through his hoops. Azerail mounted his broom and he soared up through the air, and he went to guard the hoops. The first one to attempt to get by him was a chaser, a female one. Azerail smirked slightly, but since it had been a little while since he had even played, he might not do so well. He managed to catch the first one thrown, but the next one caught him by surprise. And then the next shot was a close one too. If he kept this up for the next few chasers, it would be simple to get by him.

That feinting got him almost every time. Azerail needed to help another chaser try out, and this time it was a boy. Azerail thought that the kid was a little on the young side, so he would cut the person some slack, though if he were on another team, Azerail would keep his skills in top form. Azerail blocked and he threw the quaffle back and then the chaser managed to get another one through. Another person was trying out, and Azerail was going to greatly increase his skills with this person. The quaffle was released at the right ring, and Azerail swerved toward it, caught it with one hand and tossed it back. The next shot was thrown toward the left ring, a clever shot but it was caught. Azerail almost fell off his broom with that reach, and he tossed it back. Shaking his head, the quaffle was thrown again, and Azerail caught it, but it had already gone through the hoop. He was done.

Azeral made the broom go down to the ground where he landed and he shrugged lightly at the others that were around him. He was finished for now. Azerail would have to learn some fancy maneuvers or something later on. But in a Quidditch game, a Keeper could not be fancy because it was a fast moving game in itself.

Joceline could feel a bundle of nerves starting to form in the pit of her stomach, it got so bad she felt like she wanted to throw up but the young Slytherin girl was a determined one, stubborn almost, and wasn’t going to let this effect her so she remained where she was. She let her doe eyes land on the rest of the Slytherins that gathered at the pitch, it seemed to be a popular sport among the house members and she hoped that Theodore and Hilde would choose a good team this year so in the case that there was a few games plated this year, they would be able to whop that other teams into shape, more so Gryffindor as she would love nothing more than to see her half brother, Aiden, embarrassed. She hated that he was so much better at Quidditch than she was and that he was successful at getting on to the Gryffindor team, although this was just a driving factor that made her want to try out even more. When the Head Boy explained what everyone had to do, Joceline listened intently and while she understood the theory of the game she wanted to show her enthusiasm and dedication to hopefully give a good impression.

Joceline watched as the other Chasers tried out for the position, she had to admit that they were both very good although from where she was standing it was easy to see that they were trying to fool the keeper but feigning one way and throwing the other, she thought this was stupid idea. In a real game you could maybe us that trick once if you were lucky, twice if the keeper was an idiot, but all keepers were bound to know that trick especially if the other teams chasers used it during try outs or practice. Then a blonde haired girl was silly enough to try and fake a faint, she hoped for the sake of the Quidditch team that she got one because the rest of these people looked like a pile of disgraces and couldn’t seem to rely on their own skills so they had to try and use cheap tricks to win. Rolling her doe eyes she watched the boy descend, taking the quaffle she mounted her broom and kicked off, and after watching other people try out she felt a lot more confident about her own try out.

With the quaffle safely tucked under her right arm she used her left to help her gain speed and direct her broom, zigzagging so as to miss any of the bludgers.. She would have to thank Thomas and Ivan a million fold for even if she didn’t make the team they had made her get over her fear which now she had to admit was rather silly. Speeding towards the North Hoops she looked the keeper right in the eyes as she gained on him. She could see how people would prefer to use a cheap trick on him but Joceline believed that the keeper wasn’t a complete idiot to fall it a third time so she decided to let him actually use his skills and give him a fair chance. Once she was a good distance from the keeper she put the quaffle into the palm of her hand and prepared herself to throw it. As the keeper had positioned themselves in the middle hoop she decided to throw to the left hoop. Lifting her arm in the air she threw the quaffle with as much force as she could, as she watched the sore through the air was a little disgruntled that the keeper had intercepted it before it went through the hoops, but at least she knew that she had tried and didn’t try to rely on tricks to get the quaffle through the hoops.

When the keeper threw the quaffle back out to her to try again she caught it was easy and before the keeper had time to compose themselves again she shot over to the far left hoop and threw the quaffle as hard as she could. She smirked as she saw it pass easily through the hoops. While she didn’t agree with cheap tricks she was a Slytherin after all and would use anything to win. When the keeper retrived the quaffle she caught it and made her way down the ground again she passed the quaffle over to whomever was up next.

It was a new year, and she was a new person. Alexandra had one of the school brooms, having not purchased her own yet, for this was a very spontaneous decision. Her hair was short today, and she wore a pair of loose-fitting track pants along with a long sleeved shirt to the Slytherin Quidditch team try outs. Because of a flying accident in her second or third year, she had always been afraid to try out for the team. She wasn't going to let something in her past drag her down from trying something new, and something that would benefit her future as well.

Alexandra was late getting to the try out, unsure of what she was supposed to wear to it. There were already people on their brooms flying around, and Alexandra went to the Broom shed to pick out a broom. She wasn't very picky, though she had done her research in the summer at different types of brooms. It was in the back of her mind to try out for the team, so she researched the positions and read about the different positions to see what she thought she'd be good at. Alex came thought she'd be a good beater, she had incredible upper body strength and stability for someone her size, because of the football training she did all summer, and the summers before then.

She picked up a beat up looking Nimbus 2001, and one of the bats. She had the broom over her shoulder, supported by her right hand, and the bat was in her left. She walked up to Hilde, and said, "I am trying out for the Beater position." She gave a small smile, and took a few steps away. She took a deep breath as she mounted the broom. The last time she mounted a broom was near the end of last year, she went out once every fortnight to go around, so she wouldn't be scared anymore. Alexandra understood the job she wished to pursue required her to have top-notch flying skills, so her fear would have to be overcome.

The blonde looked up at the sky, the sun bright in her eyes. There was a slight breeze wooshing past year ear, and she could have sworn there was a whisper that called out, "Good luck." A shiver went down her back as she kicked off, her right hand on her broom and now her bat was supported on her shoulder. Had her hair been any longer, it would have whipped in her face, she leaned forward and jet for the sky. She took note of who was trying out for the chaser position, and who else were trying out as beaters. Next, the bludgers. They weren't that hard to find, for in that instant, one flew right by her. Okay. You got this Alex. She thought to herself as she raced towards the chaser it was headed for. She caught up to the quaffle, and reached out her arm with the bat, which was like an extention of her arm. She hit it with such a force, it went down in the opposite direction. Just as it was about to hit the ground, it raced back up, actually aimed for her, as though it were coming back with a vengeance.

Alexandra tightened her grip on the bat, and rolled her rist as it was closing in on her. She inched forward, and twisted her torso so she would have more force when she hit it. The noise upon contact almost made her go deaf, she hadn't realized how brutal the noise was to the ear. Alex could only find one of the bludgers, though this time it didn't come back to her. She flew around, crouched forward for a better aero-dynamic, and the lethal black ball caught the corner of her eye. She chased it to a chaser, and backhanded it further up into the air, until it was completely gone. Alexandra continued this a few more times, and switched hands twice to give her left arm a break. By the end of her try out, she felt accomplished, even if she weren't to make the team.

She put the borrowed broom in the broomshed, along with the beaters bat. She would only go buy the needed equipment if she made the team. As she left the quidditch pitch, she rolled her shoulders forward and backwards a few times. She was just a little winded, but felt that her try out was pretty good, and that her father was there with her.

Isabella was not exactly ready to even try out to be a beater. That was why she was going to an alternate position. She took a bat supplied out for them, and hopped on the broom. Slowly, she made her way up to the sky. She watched the other beaters and she narrowed her magenta eyes. Come on, get a grip. This is not how a Romanes' acts! Isabella watched the other beaters and she started to learn slowly on how it is done. Letting out a small sigh, she learned forward on her broom and she started to gain some speed. She saw a black blur in front of her, but then she felt something zoom by her side. She almost swerved out of fear. Groaning, she went after the blur she spotted to begin with. Isabella clinched the broom with one hand and she soared toward it. She was going to be on the team, as an alternate, but she did not care. As long as she belonged somewhere.

Catching up to the bugger, she swung the bat as hard as she could and CRACK! it went soaring in the direction away from the other players. She smiled and she almost dropped the bat she was so excited. Isabella smiled with relief as she went toward the chasers and saved one of them with another swing of the bat. Her power was not that good but it was enough. Isabella hit a few more times, but it was starting to hurt, a lot. Isabella went back to the ground and she bowed her head. "I really need to work on my skills. But at least I am just trying out for a spare player." She was muttering in Italian because she really did not want to admit how she felt in broken English.

Ariah huffed as she arrived onto the pitch, she quickly noticed that it seemed that the tryouts had already begun and she panicked. This is why no one should let her take naps anymore! She always slept in and missed important things that she needed to be at or else she would be into some trouble. Quidditch was something Ariah was going to try and become more involved in but she only wanted to be an alternate this year. After all she still needed some time getting used to her new prefect status that she was trying to focus on. The honey blonde hurried over to Theodore and Hilde and panted as she tried to make out the words in her head. As of late the older male intimated her because he was the first Slytherin to have a Head Status from this school, that had to stand for something. "So I'm sorry I'm late and everything but I'd like to try out for alternate keeper..if you guys don't mind." She saw Theodore shake his head, which meant whatever in his language. Ariah didn't like seeing him look so annoyed but it seemed these days that the only one he didn't give that look to was his girlfriend or Professor Styx. With a careless shrug of her shoulders she grabbed her broom and headed out to the pitch to show off a little.

Mounting her broom and hurriedly kicking off the ground she flew quickly to the hoops and took her place in front of the middle one. She needed to wait for the Chasers to get down here with the Quaffle before she could do much. Surely enough they soon came with the speed of a bullet. The first shot was taken and it was to the hoop on her right. A gasp left her lips as she tried to dart down and block it. Her fingertips narrowly managed to stop it from going in, she almost missed that one so she would need to be more careful next time. Another Quaffle was shot and she blocked it once again. The Chasers were either getting quicker or she was getting slower because then a third shot was being made and Ariah couldn't get over to the hoop in time and let it whizz by her head. A few others shots were blocked and a few others were saved. She wasn't as good as Azerail was but she figured she had given it her best. Once back on the ground Ariah looked at the captains and shrugged. She had no idea what they were thinking right now.

All righty guys sorry this took so long, it's been busy and I've been trying to wait for everyone who wanted to tryout to post. Everyone got a position whether it was Alternate or not, the Alternates are just as important as the others so don't fret. Some of you also may not have gotten the exact position you wanted, this was mostly just to fill out all the positions. If your really uncomfortable with my decision PM me and we can probably work something out. You can always try out again next year too. ;) Overall, nice job guys! If you have any questions/concerns feel free to PM me.
