Closed Slip Away

Simon was relieved to not have to spend yet another end of year feast inevitably sitting between Sydney and Tyler listening to them bicker. It would also the last time he would ever git to sit with his friend before he graduated but Simon couldn't seem to find it in himself to feel too sad about missing it. Instead he had had the idea for a more romantic occasion, and slipped a note to Juniper to meet him up here instead. He had put a decent amount of effort into his set up and had a dozen or so candles strewn about to create the appropriate mood. He had even snuck into the kitchens to acquire some food to complete the whole evening. Simon found himself slightly nervous as he waited for his girlfriend and hoped she hadn't forgotten about their meet up.

He had actually tried to do something sweet and would hate for it to go to waste. Simon usually wasn't the sentimental type and while he didn't believe in celebrating every week they spent together, he had to admit the past few months had been pretty good, at least for him, and he figured that was worth doing something for. He was sitting in the window seat waiting and tapped his foot against the stone floor. Juniper had been rather smitten with Simon. He was low drama and just an all around good time. Rather surprised by his spontaneity, she had slipped the note in her pocket and quickly snuck away from her sister, heading back up to the towers. She had thrown on a knee-length blue dress for the feast and was glad to see no food anywhere on the front. Turning a corner, she heard a little bit of noise and followed it, quickly finding her boyfriend and quite the display surrounding them. "What's this all about?" she said, with a big smile, standing on toes to give him a quick peck before looking around again.

Simon was about to let his nerves get the better of him when he heard Juniper approaching and got up quickly to greet her. He gratefully accepted the kiss on the cheek and wrapped one arm around her waist and used the other to gesture to his set up. "Oh, I just thought we could do something more...romantic before we we part ways for the holidays." he said with a smile in his voice. If was true but it was also more than that. He knew what awaited him at home and he would rather spend his last few hours of freedom making a happy memory. "But if you'd rather go back to the great hall, I can clean all this up." he teased and gestured over his shoulder.
