Sleeping Under a Tree

[Blane Bailey]

Blane was tired as he walked out on to the school grounds. He had, had classes and had to write and essay. He also had not had much sleep the night before. There was a light breeze in the hot late afternoon. Blane walked down on the school grounds and saw a nice tree. Once at the tree Blane sat down. He put down his bag and pulled out a book, opened it and tryed to read. He slouched down and leaned his head against the tree and was soon asleep.

 

[Amy Stone]

Amy was taking a stroll int he grounds when she thought she saw a familiar figure. On further inspection it proved to be Blane whol looked asleep.
"Hello sleepy head" she said loudly, sitting herself down on the grass.
"Hope you diont mind me interuptting?!" she asked smiling.

 

[Blane Bailey]

Blane woke up and saw Amy sitting next to him. He rubbed his eyes and smiled at her. "No, its okay, you've not interrupt me." Blane said smiling. "How are you?"

 

[Amy Stone]

"I'm okay how about yourself?" she asked him smiling
"Haven't spoken to your properly in a while! How are things going?" she asked.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"I'm good, really tired though." Blane said smiling. "No we haven't spoken in a while. Things are going good. What about you?"

 

[Amy Stone]

"How comes so tired?" she asked a little concerned
"Yeah things are going okay actually, really enjoying lessons!!! How about you?" Amy asked in return.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"I haven't been sleeping well." Blane said "Yeah I'm really enjoying lessons too! Its good and really enjoyable."

 

[Amy Stone]

"Glad to hear its all good" she said smiling. She paused for a moment before continuing, "So whats up with the not sleeping so well then?" she asked tentatively.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"I'm not sure, I just haven't been sleeping well. " Blane said "I've never really slept that well. Though I did go to bed very late." Blane said "Have you been sleeping well?"

 

[Amy Stone]

"Fair enough" Amy said smiling. She hesitated before replying, "Yeah sleeping like I normally do, takes me a while and i normally end up getting up very early but its okay really" she said smiling.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"Who are you sharing a room with?" Blane asked. "I've never asked or if I have sorry but if forgot but whens you're birthday?"

 

[Amy Stone]

Amy smiled, "Im sharing with Andy Harri and two older girls, Keira and Ana-Cole" she replied, then laughed as he asked the next question. "My birthdays not until the 8th February, a while away!" she laughed. "What about yours?" she asked.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"My birthday has past, it was the 21st of July." Blane said smiling.

 

[Amy Stone]

"Oh Happy Belated birthday then" she said smiling at Blane, then laughed as she realised it was some time ago.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"It was a while ago. I got the letter that day, on my birthday. That was a weird day, I hardly remember it." Blane said he didn't remember it much.

 

[Amy Stone]

"Well you've always got your next birthday to look forward to" Amy said cheerfuly.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"Yes I guess I have" Blane said "Though it is during the holidays so we won't be at school."

 

[Amy Stone]

"I'm sure you'l still get a load of cards" Amys aid grinning at Blane.
"At least you have a summer birthday!" she said smiling
"Mines always cold and horrible weather" Amy said.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"I live in Scotland, so there is no such thing as summer." Blane said laughing.

 

[Amy Stone]

Amy laughed "Yeah I guess your right there!" she said smiling at Blane.

 

[Blane Bailey]

Blane laughed, then yawned. "You're from england? Aren't you?" Blane asked

 

[Amy Stone]

"I sure am, good old London" she said smiling, thinking about home.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"Good old London." Blane repeated then began to hum London Bridge is falling down.

 

[Amy Stone]

"I know i miss it" she said smiling faintly
"Do you miss Scotland?" she asked Blane.

 

[Blane Bailey]

"Sometimes I do. I did grow up there and I do live there. Most of the time I don't miss it. My life is so much better here, with my friends." Blane said smiling
