Sixth Years, Lesson Two

With the introductory lesson behind them the sixth years would be getting stuck into practical spell casting for their first proper lesson of the semester and he hoped they would enjoy that. The desks had been moved to the sides leaving a wide open space in the middle of the classroom that greeted the students as they made their way in. Once James was satisfied everyone was present he waved his wand to close the classroom door. "Gather round, wands at the ready," James instructed the sixth years once they were inside. They wouldn't need their books or quills that lesson as they would learning a new spell. "Today we will be practicing the defensive spell Protego Horribilis, first can anyone tell me the difference between Protego and Protego Horribilis?" James paused to give a student a chance to answer, he picked one of the students raising their hand and called on them. "Exactly," James beamed at them before continuing.

"Okay, only one way to go about this, pair up and get to practicing. One of you using stupefy and the other using Protego Horribilis, begin," James spent the lesson going between the pairs in the classroom making sure everyone was only using the spells they were allowed to use and helping any students who asked for help. At the end of the lesson he opened the door and dismissed them.

RP the lesson. First poster answer the question for extra credit.

Emmanuel wasn’t sure how to play valentines. Not when things still weren’t entirely okay, but he knew he had to do something. He was planning on trying to ask Kyon before anyone else could, and show that he cared for his…for him. He knew it wouldn’t be too hard, since he knew how to woo and impress girls, it had to be the same with bo..Kyons. The teen was getting himself together for the day, he gathered his books and notes and headed out of the dorm room to be able to get to his first class of the day. He was looking forward to what the week would bring, in all aspects of his life.

Emmanuel walked into the defence against the dark arts classroom. He took his wand as it seemed they were immediately beginning to get started on a new spell. Which he was perfectly happy to do. Emmanuel listened along as the professor spoke, nodding in understanding and eager for them to just get started. He didn’t have an answer to the question, but keenly listened to one given by someone else. He then was able to pair up with someone and practiced the spell back and forth with them. He got better at it as the time went on, managing to do pretty well at it by the end of the lesson. He was pretty happy with that too. He packed up his things and then headed out of the classroom.

The Gryffindor prefect looked absolutely perfect in the mirror. He had definitely received the good genes from both of his parents. Of course, his mother was a model, so she had to be gorgeous. It was in the job description. Chaos Zhefarovich the Second had to start looking more into his future. He had the job lined up that he wanted, and he had other pieces of the puzzle rested in front of him. In due time, he would have to reach out to his father to ask about potential matches so that he did not have to look for a wife himself. His father had extremely high expectations so if his father picked one out, that was just two birds, one stone. Chaos let out a sigh as he gathered his belongings to head out to the class. He had to focus on today first.

Chaos entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and noticed something was off. The desks arranged to the sides left a clear space in the middle, indicating practical spellcasting awaited them. Chaos took a spot among the other sixth years, anticipating what spell they would be learning today. He listened attentively as Professor Cade questioned the class about the differences between Protego and Protego Horribilis. Soon, they needed to pair up. Chaos quickly found a partner among his classmates. As the lesson drew to a close, Professor Cade opened the classroom door, signaling the end of practice. He was done for now. He left the classroom, glad he succeeded with the spell.
