Sixth Years: Lesson Six

Professor Styx doubted that he would make his students suffer for long. He was sure that they were just as tired of sitting around here as he was - even if he never sat during teaching. He remained as he always was, leaning against the desk. The students arrived on time, and this time, Styx did not shut the door. He shrugged his shoulders, "Today is about like every other class. You can choose to practice conjuring, or leave to go study. This is just in case someone wants to conjure birds, which might be disruptive." Styx looked down at the time, and then gestured with his hand. "If you wish to conjure birds, make sure to use the silencing spell. You may begin on whichever path you want to take. Use your time wisely." And with that, he let the students do as they pleased, within reason.
Assignment: Attendance post

Elio had almost considered not going to the last lessons of his semester because he didn’t want the year to end. Given this was Professor Styx’s class he was even more sure he wouldn’t go, because the man was very scary, mostly just in overall general vibe rather than anything he ever said or did, but he did end up showing up for the lesson and he sat himself in his usual seat as he waited to see if this was a review or not. It was a review lesson and so he kicked up his wand and practiced some silent conjuring, some of the more basic spells that he had been practicing, like scriopea, statua and some conjuring spells to see how well he was doing with his non-verbals.

Savannah was feeling pretty pleased, everything else in the semester had gone well, and she was sure that she’d manage to get everything to go swimmingly. Savannah was getting her things together for the day ahead. All of her time now was dedicated to the exams, she knew that she needed to do well in them to continue with most of them into the NEWT year. But she had no doubt that she’d manage it. She packed up the last of the things that she needed and then headed out of the room.

Savannah walked into the transfiguration classroom and took her usual spot in the room. She glanced at the professor as the man got started telling them to just revise. She took the time to go over each of the conjuring spells that they had covered in the semester. She made sure that she was getting each one, that she knew the theory and could do the spell. She was feeling pretty confident about her chances in the upcoming exam following it.

Gregory walked into the transfiguration classroom and took his usual spot in the room. He glanced up at the professor and then looked to his notes quill as it wrote down what the professor was saying, but really, he could’ve probably guessed what it was. Revision. He tried then to do it, but the spells were hard and his notes were better the later in the semester it was, but the first ones weren’t great and he was loathed to actually ask Cassius for help. He tried, and then eventually left the room feeling frustrated.

Anisha couldn't believe the semester was nearly over already, it had gone by so fast. Now the exams were looming and she used all her spare time to study, even at breakfast and lunch. She was determined to do well on her exams. She was glad they could choose what to do this lesson. Anisha decided to practice conjuring, as she was sure the exam would have a practical portion. She practiced the various spells they had learned until the lesson was over.

Astraea couldn’t believe how quickly the final week of classes had come around, she made her way into Professor Styx’s classroom for the final Transfiguration lesson of the year but she wouldn’t inside long. Professor Styx told them they could spent the time in the classroom practicing conjuring, or go off and study elsewhere. Astraea chose the later option and grabbed her bag to make her way out of the classroom and go off to study in the library.
