Sixth Years: Lesson One

Professor Killian Borisyuk had to change the desk and chair to accommodate since his other colleague was average sized. Everything had to be at least twice the size. He sat down in the chair as he looked over who might be attending the class from the yearbook. Killian was also a bit happier now that he was teaching something else. After all, this material was much different compared to what he had done the first year he taught. This one, he was more familiar with considering how widespread it was. It was an interesting subject, and one that he was sure that the sixth years would enjoy. After all, it was introducing them to the dark parts of history. He noticed the sixth years filing in. He glanced down at his watch to see that it was about time to start the lesson.

Killian clasped his hands together on his stomach as he waited until the it was right on time to start the lesson. "Good afternoon, sixth years" the Russian spoke as he stood up. The style he had was a bit more casual, as he was rather laid back. Even his robes were barely hanging off his shoulders. "If you have transferred in, my name is Professor Killian Borisyuk. If my name proves to be difficult, then Professor Killian will do." He slid his tattooed hands into the pockets of his jeans as he cleared his throat. "Anyway, on to the subject at hand since you are all old enough to know the basic rules. I will be teaching you all thoroughly about the history of Lord Voldemort. I know you all touched base on him in Defence Against the Dark Arts but we will be focusing on who he is, the wars he caused, and the effects that he had overall since his reign of terror lasted for decades. There are several theories on how he survived for so long, and what all he used. One of the many theories would be the use of horcruxes. If you come across anything about those objects, feel free to come to me during my office hours and I'll explain what they are."

The Russian remembered that he shouldn't stand up for too long because of the sixth years' necks. So, he walked back over to his desk and sat down. He folded his arms across his chest and stared over the teenagers with his green orbs. "That is enough of a teaser, so I'll let you all go early. No homework yet." Killian gestured his wand toward the door to open it for the sixth years as he watched them all leave. He tapped his finger against his arm until they were all gone so that he could head back to his office.
Assignment: RP the lesson.

Callie walked into the history of magic classroom and took her usual spot int he room. She was very curious about what exactly this class and then the future ones for this semester. She took a couple of notes about it, but the lesson itself wasn’t too involved, just a few bits about what they’d cover and then a dismissal without homework. She gladly packed up her things and headed out of the room.

Enoch walked into the history of magic classroom, he had paired significantly down the classes he was taking and really knew he was looking for any reason to ditch the rest of what he had taken. He took his spot and took out some parchment and his quill and began writing down the little the professor was telling them about what they’d be covering within this class. He was pleased that it wasn’t a particularly long lesson and immediately when he could packed up his things and headed out of the room.

Teddy arrived in the History of Magic classroom and had a look around to see who was left after OWLs. He chose himself a seat then took out his parchment and quill to take notes. Fortunately though, it was just an introduction lesson so there wasn't much to jot down. At the end of the lesson, Teddy said goodbye to Professor Borisyuk then headed out to enjoy a bit of free time before dinner.

History of magic was still boring, but at least she wouldn’t have to do it for much longer. Veronica sat in Professor Borisyuk’s classroom and listened to his introductory lesson. It didn’t require much from her, which was good; he just told them what they’d be studying during the semester, Voldemort, a British villain from the 90s, as far as she knew. It didn’t feel historical enough to be learning about it, but Veronica wasn’t going to complain. Once the lesson was over, she grabbed her things and left.

Through the years of the subjects that Marley had taken at her time at Hogwarts so far, history of magic would probably have to be one of her favourite subjects she had taken. She liked learning the history of things, both magical and muggle worlds. The Hufflepuff quickly packed up the things she needed for the lesson before quickly making her way to her history of magic class. Once she arrived, she took a seat in her usual spot and took out thing she need for the lesson and placed them on the desk in front of her.

Marley moved her attention towards the professor as he got started with the lesson. The girl perked up a little when she found out that they'd be learning about a well-known dark wizard, which Marley didn't seem to mind. There wasn't much note taking as the lesson was quite quick but the Hufflepuff managed to jot down a few important notes on what they'd be learning about, as well as nodding along to what the professor was saying to show that she was understanding what was being said.

It wasn't long until the lesson had come to an end, and they were dismissed. Marley was grateful that there was no homework. She quickly packed up her things as well as tidied up her area. She then says a quick thanks and goodbye to the professor, before heading out of the classroom with her friends and the rest of her classmates.

Millie sat and listened to Professor Borisyuk as he introduced himself for the benefit of anyone who might of have been new, which she doubted there were many if any. Professor Borisyuk the moved to discussing the topic they would be learning about over the semester, Lord Voldemort. He was a major figure in magical history, particularly that of Great Britain and Hogwarts, thankfully no one so evil had ever plagued New Zealand, though her home country the United States had seen its fair share of dark wizards. She followed along with the lecture and took notes, her quill scratching furiously across the parchment as she tried to keep up. Once the lesson was over she packed up the notes she had taken and made her way out of the classroom.
