Sixth Years, Lesson One

"Welcome back to Charms, sixth years. I hope you've all had an amazing winter holiday, I did. But, it's time to get focused on work. This is an important year for you sixth year. Today's lesson will unfortunately be brief ," He said with a flick of his wand towards the board, the chalk began to write out the outline for this year's course in the subject.

  • Incarcerous
  • Disillusionment Charm
  • Hover Charm
  • Flame Freezing Charm
  • Confringo
"As you can see the list of spells that we will be covering this year is rather short compared to previous years, however, they require much more work to master. Not to mention, they are a lot more interesting." He gave the class a smile, before continuing "I promise you, next year, in your final year at Hogwarts, we will be covering a much longer list of useful charms which includes the Patronus charm." Misha finished with a small wink to his students, knowing that some of them would be excited. He had been excited over learning to conjure a patronus. Having completed his rather brief lecture, He stated, "Alright that's all from me, if you have any questions I'll be sticking around here for a bit. And of course my office door is always open. See you all next week." Misha then proceeded to going back to standing in front of his desk in a friendly manner in case any of the students decided they did have questions for him.

~RP the lesson. Attendance post is just fine

An new year, already in sixth year. June felt the time was flying. She would spend her time still two years on this school, and than that period was over. And she would see what her future hold for her. But until she was there she had plans still and goals to achieve. And so far all she wanted has came true, and hoped that, that would continue. Owls were over so this year seemed just an more relax year than last. But June never sat still, she was preparing for ahead. And still wanted to be the very best again this year.

The blonde made her way to the classroom and found her usual spot all the way in the front, close to Misha. She made some quick notes of the spells they would be covering this year and listened as Misha continued. There were some spells she couldn't wait to learn. Fire making spells were very nice to perform. Confringo was an powerfull one she had read. The patronus charm they would learn next year and June had read a lot about it, she was wondering which form hers would take. But that was something for her last year, next year. When the lesson was over, she figured she had some time to prepare her next class. And left the classroom.

Fraser walked into the charms classroom and took his usual spot in the room. He glanced up at the professor as the man got started. He looked to the board where the spells they’d be covering appeared and he took the time to get it down as the professor then talked a little more, but the lesson was soon after wrapped up and they were dismissed.

Theo strolled into the Charms classroom, Gryffindor scarf slung loosely around his neck. Giving a wave to the Slytherin girl already seated, he plopped into a seat near the middle. As the professor whose name Theo does not have a clue of began the lesson, he pretended to look intensely interested, nodding sagely with exaggerated enthusiasm when the professor mentioned the Disillusionment Charm. He caught the eye of a classmate nearby and whispered, “Perfect for sneaking into the kitchens. Or the prefects’ bathroom. Just sayin’.” By the time the professor mentioned Confringo, Theo’s grin grew wider. Before class was dismissed, Theo decided to ask, “Professor- sorry don't really know your name,” he began, “I heard you do duelling tournaments in this school. Any chance we'll learn Confringo before then?” he grinned, adding cheekily, “I’m only asking because I’ve got a cousin who could use a bit of a wake-up call.” He could see his cousin rolling his eyes which only made him grin at the other boy. He can't wait to see how much trouble he could get into with these charms.

Sometimes. Sometimes, Mikael wondered if it really would be a crime to rid the world of his cousin. Surely. Surely, it would be okay. He sat near the back of the Charms classroom as far away from his cousin as the room would allow. Thankfully, the class today was short. He glanced at the outline of spells on the board, it was definitely a shorter syllabus than last year, and the spells were a little more challenging. At least they wouldn't be wasting his time with spells he'd already known and been practicing for years. He didn't particularly care about next year's class. As far as he was concerned that was not something to be dealt with right this moment. When class was about to be dismissed and he was just about to be glad that it was a fairly quiet class, of course his cousin still had to resort to theatrics. His gaze narrowed at Theodore before he rolled his eyes. Just let him dare cast the Blasting Curse and he would find himself at the other end of Kael's wand.

Bailey was glad to hear that their first charms lesson would be brief. A few of her introductory lessons during the first week of term had proved to be anything put so she was grateful for Professor Haden keeping it short. Bailey rolled her eyes at Theo as he talked, honestly what he said wasn’t really important, just the fact he was speaking was enough to annoy her, she couldn’t imagine what impact he was having on Mikael, he found his cousin even more annoying than she did. Bailey made a note of all the spells they would be learning about, Incarcerous would be perfect to tie Theo up and leave him somewhere, then everyone could get some peace.

Once the lesson was over Bailey packed up her notes and headed out of the classroom and immediately started following Mikael after he was approached by Elio, because he wanted to know what was going on with those two idiots.

Hinata entered the classroom, maybe just a little bit looking forward to what would be covered in classes this year. She hadn't expected her high OWLs for most of the classes, which had been a far cry from her previous grades. Now that she knew that she could do a little more than just barely pass, she was quite looking forward to learning spells. Seeing the outline of what they would be learning was still quite intimidating though, and the mention of learning to cast the Patronus Charm was even more so. Still, it was something to look forward to. When Professor Haden finished his lecture which was somehow cue for Theo to cause chaos, Hinata could not help but avert her gaze from her obviously fuming Slytherin cousin. This was going to be a long year.
