Sixth Years; Lesson 6

This was the last lesson of the term for the Transfiguration sixth years. It was time to add on to what they have learned so far this year. Professor Lyra Potter sat at her desk, shuffling papers around to make sure that everyone had their lessons caught up before the students arrived. Soon as the class was there, she stood and made her way around the front of the desk. "Welcome. Let's get started today. We are going to work on a bit of non-verbal conjuring today. This should not be too new to any of you. We will be working with the conjuring spells that we have previously worked with." She walked among the desks as she spoke. "I will allow you to chose which spell you work with, either Avis or Ochideous. The process is the same as the verbal, but instead of only focusing your thoughts on the object you are conjuring, you also need to encant the spell in your mind too."

She aimed her wand at her desk, and a bouquet of flowers appeared and then with another tapping motion, a few bird cages. "Feel free to use the flowers I have provided. If you choose to use avis, please use a cage to contain your birds within. As always, I will be here if you have any questions." With a smile, Lyra set them to work.

Homework: Just an rp, either conjuring a flock of birds or a flower.

Hinata sat at her desk, weighing her wand in her hand. Nonverbal magic hadn't exactly been new this semester. If anything, they have been all practicing to get their spellwork into nonverbal casting. Hina, herself, had been working to make sure that her Charms and Defense spells could be cast nonverbally. She maybe just haven't really thought of conjuration in the same way. Now that it was time to try though, she was maybe, just a little bit, looking forward to it. She took a slow breath, closing her eyes and picturing the delicate sakura petals. Lifting her wand, she tried the spell. Magic took shape in front of her and before she knew it a tiny sakura blossom drifted down into her desk. It was tiny. And looked like it would be wilting in just a day. But it was progress. She spent the rest of the session practicing both spells.

Non-verbal conjuring sounded hard. Bailey wasn’t sure she was ready for that level of magic but she didn’t want to let her aunt down so she would give all she had in her attempt. She decided she would go with Ochideous as she didn’t want to deal with the noise and chaos of conjuring birds again. She decided to try and summon a bouquet of roses as they felt like the easiest to try and she made her first attempt. She was a handful of attempts in before her spell produced anything, but all she managed was dead roses. She kept trying, working hard for the rest of the lesson trying to get something that resembled a healthy bunch of roses using non-verbal magic.

The blonde made her way to the classroom and found her usual spot in the front close to the professor and sat ready. June prepared herself for an self-study lesson but it wasn't like that. Or at least they had to chose to conjure with one of the spells they had learned in previous lessons. It was an easy choice to go for the flowers, since she was not interested in another annoying birds around. And hopefully everyone chose wise. At least the girls seem to be so far. The blonde decided to try and go for roses again, since that was her favorite if she had to choose. And quickly she managed to conjure two roses, and than decided to go further with trying to conjure more and more. Until the lesson was over. And when the lesson ended the blonde thanked the professor and left, to study some more for exams.
