Arriving on the Quidditch Pitch with a streak in his hand the color of blue, Blaine Matthias breathed in the air and thought that this was a perfect day to start practicing some Quidditch. He released his personal bludger into the air and it soared up. Blaine then placed his bat on his shoulder as he mounted his broom. His father was gifted enough to have given him a broom of his own since Blaine was interested in Quidditch. He was going to be a beater one day and he was hoping that he would get the position once day on a professional Quidditch team. He did not really have a favorite, but he would look into it one day. Blaine smirked a bit as he soared up into the air, and he started to practice some of his skills. Blaine was working on it, and he thought that he was doing pretty well.

The thundering cracks of a bludger meeting the bat could be heard throughout the pitch and the area around. Blaine hoped that anyone that was around would think that he was one of those that was really good, if not an older year because of his skills. Blaine smirked as he continued to fly around, and then aimed for another shot. He hit too hard and flipped upside down on his broom. He immediately thought, 'Oh sh*t.' It took him a bit to flip around on the top of his broom once more. That could have been messy since he had gotten a good look at the field below him.

Elijah Drage had gotten a surprise at breakfast that morning. Uncle Sumner and Aunt Lily had sent him a package with some congratulations on being sorted presents. One thing that was included was a broom of his very own. A scarlett streak very similar to what he would ride when he would visit his favorite relatives. After taking the rest of the stuff back to his room, he felt the need to get out and try his new broom out. Racing down from Gryffindor tower and outside, he made his way down to the Quidditch pitch.

Kicking off from the ground, Eli was up in the air feeling the wind on his face. Not long into his flight, he heard the crack of the beater bat from the other side of the pitch. Another flier was working with a bludger down on the other end of the pitch. Turning, he took off in that direction, watching as the kid took a flip on his broom. It took him a bit, but he righted himself just before he got there. "Hey, you okay? That was a crazy flip right there," he shouted to the other flier.

Blaine was sure that he would flip or fall. The field looked so far away. Blaine heard something down below and he looked down and around. Who said that? Then he looked at the air in front of him. Another first year near him! He chuckled and wondered if the boy worried over him or something. Blaine did not known who the guy was. He did not know what to say right now. He comes his fingers through his hair. Finally, Blaine said, "Nah, man. I am good. I just freaked out or something." The boy was a decent flyer too. He wondered where those skills came from. Blaine had his dad teach him. There was nothing too special about that at all either. Not to Blaine anyway. He had a low impression on his dad. He believed that no matter who said what to him. Just the way he was.

Blaine's amber eyes looked down at the streak that the boy had, and noticed that they had the same broom, even though his was another color. "By the way, I'm Blaine. A Ravenclaw. A Ravenclaw Beater for the Quidditch team actually. And who are you?" Blaine had no idea who the other boy was, and did not know if he wanted to know either. Just knew that the boy could fly well enough to catch him up here.
