Samual Pace Kaster couldn't believe he was actually going to study school stuff, and a Muggle library. He was just asking for trouble, especially since his bag also held his Care of Magical Creatures book. It probably wasn't the greatest idea, but he had to keep himself thinking about exams and such, because OWLs were starting this year, he had to keep himself in one mindset: School. He was worried that if he forgot anything, he'd never pick it up again, especially since he had so many other things to remember and worry about equally, like Defence Against the Dark Arts, a subject that sometimes went over the Gryffidnors head. Letting out a sigh, Samual ducked and dodged his way through the library, trying not to be noticed by people. It wasn't that they'd recognise him or anything, but he just didn't want people to know that he existed right now, so that there would be less chance of his studying being interrupted by muggles, because that could be potentionally problematic, especially if they caught a look at his... tempramental book. Gripping his bag carefully, Sammy smiled slightly at a woman that looked at him with some interest, probably because he was attempting to hide beside a bookcase that was far too small for him, smiling weakly and took a small step away from the bookcase. Chewing his lip and looking around, Sammy spotted a quiet, sort of hidden spot of the library, it was tucked away at the corner near some stairs and tonnes of bookcases, it was perfect for some private studying.

Sammy made his way quickly and quietly to the corner, because the last thing he wanted was for the spot to be inhabitated by someone else, otherwise he'd have to try his luck by one of the windows, and sure, the sunlight was tempting, but he couldn't allow himself to be distracted by that sort of stuff, he had to focus on studying his brain to death. Due to being distracted by his goal to get to the corner quickly, Sammy neglected to look around him, and unfortuately bumped into someone, tripping over, and falling down with a large 'bang'. When he realised that his bag had falling from its position on his shoulder, Sammy leapt on it and held it down, knowing that it was quite possible that his book could have been unwrapped by the force of the fall, and so could try to run away. He was quite sure he wouldn't be able to explain to muggles why his book was trying to munch on peoples toes. "I'm so sorry!" He began, automatically feeling extremely guilty for his actions and looking at the person he'd ran into, a crease forming on his brow. "I know you..." He said quietly, the girl looked unimaginable familiar, and Sammy didn't talk to muggles that often, because he wasn't exactly good around them, so maybe this girl was a witch? Would she be able to help him out in studying?!

Hazel Maye Hydran was in a rather weird mood this morning. Her mother had told her that they would not be returning to Native America this year. It was a weird thing to be told for the girl, she was so used to being able to return to her native land every year that it never occurred to her that she would be unable to do so. It was her heritage, her life. She couldn't understand why her mother wouldn't allow her to return there? To see her Grandmother? Why was she doing this to her? Why was her life becoming so negative? She hadn't seen this in the readings, nor her dreams. She sighed and packed her books into her bag, Potions, Divination, DADA, AR and COMC. The four classes she would have in her first semester back at Hogwarts. She had to admitt, even though school had just finished, she missed it. Not the actual school of course, but her friends, she missed the fun times that had together, the laughter and jokes they shared in the quiet library. Sometimes she wondered if she really liked school at all. But she would always remind herslef that she did and that it was a stupid question to ask. Atleast the twins would be out of her hair for the majority of the holidays. Justin had gone to visit his mother and brother in France. So that was alright atleast. She sighed and rolled her eyes before walking out the door, ignoring the calls of her mother.

It was about seven in the morning and Hazel was making her way to the biggest library in the area. It was about three stories tall and even had a sleeping area so that patrons could study and sleep. It was mostly for the university students around and often they had to pay about ten dollars an hour, so it was only for those that could afford to stay. Which she was sure there weren't many. Though she had seen a few on occassion. it was something that she often thought about when she was in the library. Now that she was close to it again, she started to think about school. She had decided that she wanted to become a ministry official in the wizarding examination authority. For that she had to get atleast Acceptable in five subjects. All of which she loved, which was okay. She pushed the door open and walked briskly but quietly to the far corner, the place she always studied. It was near the back and was impossible to see from the doors, and most people couldn't see the walkway anyway. It was a good place because of her COMC book. Which liked to munch on people's feet, or their heads, whichever it gets first.

She was only there for alittle while until she suddenly was bumped into by none other than the boy she had been crushing on, Samual Kaster. She immediately went red in the face and turned away from him, not hearing him speak. Though her attention was brought back when she noticed that his Monster book of Monsters was trying to escape. Her eyes widened and she bit her lip. "Oh no! Sammy, shh, we're in a Library!" She called to him, grabbing its packaging and trying desperately to wrap it up. "Oh no! What are e going to do. Its being loud."

Sammy sighed and leaned all of his weight onto the bag that enclosed his troublesome book, the only way to settle it down would be to stroke its back, or just wait until it tired itself out, Sammy was willing to weight for the latter though, because he wasn't going to stick his arm in there just so he could stroke a book, he quite liked his arm and didn't want his book to eat it, so instead he just pulled on the bag tha held it and made it extra tight, then attempted to stuff it into his carry bag, with the help of the familiar girl he'd just ran into, his thoughts answered when she said his name. A smile crossed his face when, with the girls help, his book was under control. "Thank you." he said happily, noting that she appeared to be very red in the face. Funny how that happened, the same thing happened with another friend of his, Star. The Gryffindor was extremely grateful, sometimes his Care of Magical Creatures book was a little much to control, sometimes Jack, Nadia and Amanra would have to help him out, they were such great family. Looking the girl in the eyes, her name suddenly came to his mind and his smile grow to a bright and happy grin, she was in his Ancient Runes class. "Hey Hazel Maye, how are you? I didn't realise you lived in New Zealand." He greeted, flipping his curls out of his eyes and pulling the strap of his bag shut and putting it over his shoulder. Looking around the library, Sammy nodded when he realised that no-one was around, which meant that no-one saw what just happened, which was always a plus.

Allowing for a comfortable silence, so that both of them could gather themselves and carry on, Samual finally spoke. "so why are you here?" It was a simple question, but it was a way to start a conversation with the Ravenclaw girl, admittedly, Sammy knew quite little about her, and that made him feel bad because he liked to get to know people, and he felt slack when he missed a few, though it wasn't all his fault, some people dind't like him because of all the stuff RHI had said, and others didn't like him because they just didn't. Samual didn't really care, not everyone could like him, it was a fact of life unfortunately. "If you're here to study, do you mind if we study together?" He asked, Sam liked to study in small groups, or pairs, it was so much more fun than by ones self. "It'd be way more fun that way!"

Hazel nodded at Sammy when he spoke, they had finally gotten the darn book to quieten down and she was very thankful that no one had come to inquire about what was she really had no desire to have to explain things to muggles right now. As much as she admired muggles, she hated their idiocy's and willingness to completely disregard everything they see. It was rather anoying actually. She looked at Sammy an her face darkened again. She had never been face to face with him alone before. It was an odd feeling for her. He had unknowingly influenced some of her subject picks this year. Though she would likely never tell him that. She smiled at him slightly and figeted with her bag, looking away and walking to the comfortable chairs. "Yeah, I've lived here my whole life, I was born here, um... i live aabout five minutes down the road." She told him, her once thick Native accent, having softened over time to be less rough. It was weird that only five years ago she could barely speak a stitch of english. It came so naturally to her now, though Cheyene was still her chosen language.

Hazel nodded at Sammy's question when he asked if they could study together, well she wasn't going to say no was she? "Uh, sure. Take a seat. Where woudl you like to start. I was just about to go over some Potions notes." She informed him as she pulled out her book, crossed her legs and began to highlight certain things. She didn't know what Sammy wanted to do, but if she looked at him right now, she knew she was going to act like a major goof ball.

Sammy pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose and nodded slightly to what Hazel had to say. That was interesting, because he never realised that she was born in New Zealand, he would have thought that her accent would have been New Zealander, like his was starting to sound, but it wasn't, not as far as Samual could tell. Glancing down at his bag, Sammy praised Merlin that the book had decided to stay quiet, and had obviously given up on its crusade of escape, it was a huge relief, it meant that the Gryffindor could visiably relax now. "I never knew that, I live about a thirty minute walk from here." Samual's voice was as chipper as always, mostly because he was glad to be able to talk to someone, without having to worry about the subject of conversation, it was a huge releif for him, since sometimes he hated having to cover up what he really wanted to say to people. "I think it's fantabulous that we live so close by, don't you think? It's funny how you never realise what a small world it is, until it's pointed out to you, like right now!" Sammy mused happily. "I mean, just the other day I ran into another friend from school, it was such a suprise to see her again." He added, talking about Star made his smile grow bigger, mainly because he considered Star a very close friend, in fact, he felt that most of the Moons were friends, Kate and Star being the closest. He wasn't exactly sure where he and Ryan stood, because Ryan seemed a little edgy around him, but he was confident that the other boy would come around, while Sara was much like Kate and Star, super friendly.

Sammy was elated that Hazel Maye had decided to study with him, it was such a relief, because for a second there, he wasn't sure if she'd agree or not, he would have been quite distraught if she'd refused to study with him, but eventually he would have gotten over it. Samual nodded as she spoke of Potions, one of his favourite subjects. "I love Potions, it's a lot of fun." He commented, neglecting to say that he usually stressed about actually making the individual potions, because he'd worry that he'd set fire to his curls or blow up the classroom or something, but otherwise he'd be fine. Glancing at Hazel's notes, Sammy carefully pulled out his own, being careful to not disturb the Care of Magical Creatures book. "Okay, so I have these..." A vast majority of the parchment Sammy pulled out of his bag, were covered with writing about various Potions facts, figures, dates, quotes and ingredients. He liked to be precise in his notes, which probably helped with his O average.

Hazel smiled at Sammy as he mentioned that he lived thirty minutes away. She had never seen him before outside of school, so it was weird learning that they lived virtually next door. In a manner of speaking. She giggled slightly and placed her bag by her side, motioning to the empty seats across and beside her. This little space was rather secluded and she liked coming here to study, especially for school, though considering she was here a lot during muggle school time, the librarian often used to wonder what she was doing here. Considering school in New Zealand, for muggles, started in February and ended in December, it could sometimes was rather hard to explain why she was in the library at ten o'clock in the morning on a weekday in July. She shook her head at how many times she had told them that she was attending a boarding school for the gifted in England. Of course it was a lie, it was a huge lie, but what else could she do? She couldn't exactly tell them she was a witch that attended a magic school now could she? "It is pretty cool that we live close by I guess. I suppose it's true about that." She riffled through her papers to see her notes were in order. That was good, it meant that she wouldn't have to order them later. That was irritating. "Oh, its nice that you ran into a friend. So I gather you two had fun then? What was her name?" She asked, jealousy edging her words slightly. Why did he run into a friend? They can't all be living in New Zealand right? Was she following him? Were her and the friend together? She shook her head. This wasn't fair and she really had no right to be complaining. No right at all. "By the way, you can just call me Hazel, Maye is my middle name, technically." She told him. Technically Maye was her middle name, but she didn't legally have a middle name, so she was technically illegally using Maye as her middle name. She shook her head again. She was putting way to much thought into this.

She pulled out her Potions notes from their place in her pile and smiled at Sammy. So it seemed that they would be having at least one class together this semester. Though they would likely have more together as Sammy, she was sure, was doing all the classes this Semester. That would be fun. Hopefully his "friend" would not be there with them. She smiled and nodded to him, placing her Potions notes infront of her. "Yes. Potions are fun. I often find that it can be like Herbology. Though my favourite class is Ancient Runes. I feel very close to the trees. They often help me when I am worried or am in need of their Guidance." She smiled as she thought about what she loved. Trees and nature were her life. She lived and breathed trees. Well figuratively speaking anyway. She peeked over at Sammy's notes and looked at her own. They had that in common, detailed notes. She smiled and presented hers to him, as well as her Potions book which also had scribbles around the margins. "I think we should be fine to go off of these. Don't you think?"

Samual beamed happily back at Hazel, she seemed really nice and cheery, why had he not spoken to her before? This was quite fun and Hazel was a great person to talk to, from what he could tell right now. He had seen the girl in a few of his classes, so he knew a small amount of information about her, like her house and obviously her rough age, but not really much else, he knew she was related to Andy, though their relation was not clear to him. They were in the same year, so maybe twins? He wasn't sure though, because Sammy knew that twins could look amazingly different, but Andy and Hazel Maye looked a little too different to be twins. Sammy nodded and took a seat across from Hazel and settled into it, they could be here for awhile, or for a very sort period of time, he was sure. Whenever Lisa showed up to collect him really. "Yeah, I love knowing that I live pretty close to people I know, because that makes it easier to visit them and say hello." Sammy had been known to randomly drop by someones house and say hello and stay for a little while, not really having a reason and telling them before he just showed up on their front door. He'd never been denied access to a place yet, probably because he had a pretty trustworthy face, and he was good with parents, especially fathers, he found that fathers were particularly scary, even if he was just friends with someone, fathers were pretty frightening and he was always on his best behaviour. If Samual had a sense of real jealousy in him, he probably would have been able to pick up on the hint of jealousy in Hazel's words, but Sammy wasn't the jealous type, and therefore had no idea what he would be looking for to find out if someone was a little jealous. "Oh yeah we did. Star and I always have fun together, we decided to hang out at the park for awhile. We had a good time." He answered simply. It was obvious that he and Star were close, and they were, Sammy considered her a close friend. "You'd probably know her, you're in the same house. Star Moon." He added. Samual nodded, he thought that her first name was just Hazel Maye, so he called her that, but now he'd make sure to call her Hazel, he preferred Sammy, so it was only fair.

Samual looked at Hazel's notes and nodded slightly, they were quite similar, but Hazel's were neater than Sammy's, Sammy usually tended to draw all over his pages as well, so sometimes they were a little messy and crazy looking, but still understandable. "I love Ancient Runes, it's so amazing how fantabulous it is. I like doing readings and all of that." He explained, totally agreeing with Hazel, though he wasn't sure what she was talking about when she spoke about gaining guidance from trees and all of that, when he had to talk to a tree, he ended up hugging it and apologising profusely for cutting it, and he even cut off some of his hair, because he was that nice to it. But it had been a little awkward, so obvioulsy Hazel was used to that sort of thing, which sounded interesting. "But my favourite class is Herbology, it's a really great class." He added. It was also taught by one of his favourite Professors, which made the class more fun. Sammy nodded happily in agreement. "Yeah, I think we're pretty much set for Potions."
