Victoire's days usually began early, but none had really started as early as this in a long while, Victoire studied usually into the night, she woke up later because of that. She'd been awoken for some reason at this extremely early hour and been unable to return to sleep, this had spurred her into spending her morning neither studying or doing any of her duties. Things in her life were better to say the least, she had many conflicting emotions coursing through her, but following the events of the Halloween feast, Victoire felt at least better about one thing, her and Jean had been having problems in their friendship and it seemed like they were both keen to fix them, both keen to solve the issues and just move on which made her feel better. It had been good, a fun night in the end and the gryffindor prefect couldn't help but look at it fondly, they'd never really get back the ease of their friendship but things were better now than they'd been for a while during the semester, she had missed him in the time they'd been apart. It was easy to let strange other emotions cloud over and break apart a friendship she had much enjoy and was rightfully happy to get back. The teen had been feeling at ease with everything, and she had been feeling a strange sense of calm, despite all the things she was doing, all the pressure she was under, she felt calm.

Victoire had gotten dressed in warm morning clothes even leaving behind the prefect badge, tying her hair back loosely as she always did first thing in the morning, a barely holding bun, with strands of the wave blonde falling in an almost neat chaos, controlled chaos. She put on the thick Gryffindor hoodie which now fit her snuggly where it had once been huge on her, the gryffindor wrapped her arms around herself and then left the room heading up to where she had planned to go when she'd figured she wouldn't get back to sleep. If there was one thing that she missed about Belgium it was the sunrises over the flat land of her country. The grassy field close to her house, where she had on countless occasions sat and watched the sun rise from the east. She didn't see as many sunrises in New Zealand, Victoire didn't get up early enough, she didn't know where to go, but today, she had made her way up to the north tower, where she knew there was a east facing window with a uninterrupted view of the surrounding area. That was where she sat at this early hour, on the window ledge facing out at the sun as it rose slowly in the sky, she was lucky for such a cloudless day. A smile settled on her face as she just sat watching the sun come up, feeling sincerely content with the world.
