Amy had been living pretty rough since she'd graduated. Kicked out by her parents, Amy spent most of her time living in shelters. Crispin was seven months old now and though she knew she should be trying to find somewhere better to live, she could not get past the fact that she felt like she deserved it. She loved her son desperately, more than she ever believed she could love someone, but she didn't know how to fix her situation. She thought getting a job would help, but then she worried that she would have nowhere for her child. It was a tough situation on both sides. She was grateful the other shelter dwellers were so understanding, and they tended to pool their resources to help her out, which she was eternally grateful for. She didn't know what she would do if she was without them, that was for sure. All of this unpleasantness, though it had it's good moments, made her really miss school and she was beginning to wish she had been far more studious in her last years than she had been. Maybe then she could have avoided this sort of thing.

Picking Crispin up and placing him on her hip, Amy made her way out of the shelter that morning and headed out on the town. She had to find some new shoes for Crispin as, though he was not even close to walking, but she didn't have a lot of money to do it with. Luckily it was the only thing she had to buy today. She still had some money left over from before she graduated, so she was using most of it to make sure her kid didn't starve. She never thought about being a mother and now that was here, the option thrust into her open arms unwillingly, she wasn't sure what to do. She just hoped she was making the right decision with her child.

Just coming from an early coffee with her brother, Danielle began making her way to her apartment. It was a gift from her brothers when she got accepted to play for the Holyhead Harpies. It was a cozy two-story apartment with a small front yard. It even had a swing and some chairs which was ideal for family picnics or even a hang out with friends. In her hand was a flyer that she got from Dominic. It was like he was suggesting that she stayed in NZ instead of traveling and playing professional Quidditch. She rolled her eyes as she remembered their conversation.

She was still ambling the road when she noticed a woman with a child coming to the town. Toward her, to be precise. The woman's profile looked familiar to the former Hufflepuff since it made her remember of a particularly good friend and roommate when she was in Hogwarts. It was when they were few meters apart that Danielle was right. "Amy?", she called out although the girl was just almost near her."Amy Applewhite, is that you?" The surprise and happiness of seeing a friend again were evident in Danielle's voice.

Amy looked through the windows to see if she could find one that sold children's shoes, but as yet she'd had no luck. Perhaps eventually, if she kept walking, she'd be able to find what she was looking for. Suddenly, she heard a voice calling her name from somewhere in front of her and she jumped for a second, unaware that someone would recognise her, but as she looked up she broke into a grin. "Danielle Corelli!" Were she not currently holding a fussing seven month old, Amy might have run up to and hugged her friend, but she had other priorities at the moment. She walked a little faster to stand in front of Danielle and held her hand out to squeeze Dani's. "Oh, it is so good to see you. It's been too long!" She looked good and Amy was happy to see she seemed happy. Perhaps all the drama back at school was over with. Amy had never been a big fan of drama after all, since she'd had a lot of drama of her own. If only she could find away to help herself without ruining everything she already had. What would people say if they knew the truth? "How are you?"
