Second Years, Lesson Six

"Morning, everyone," Gabrielle greeted, once the students started taking their seats. "Since we're close to exams I'll let you have free reign to study today. Snacks and drinks in the corner," she gestured towards a table with fruit, juice, water...and some sweets. "So feel free to take as many as you like - as long as you don't get any stains on books. You drop it, you clean it. Or replace it, and some of those books aren't cheap, so do be careful. Feel free to chat amongst yourselves - preferably about your classwork, but I'm not going to monitor your conversations." Gabrielle gave a snort of derision at her own comment. Of course she would have preferred the students to revise, but she wasn't going to hold them at wand point to do so. "I want you to try your best on the exams, but I hope that you take time to relax. Remember that it isn't the be all and end all. By Merlin's beard, it's only second year. And I'll let you in on a secret, even the OWLs aren't going to end up defining the rest of your lives. But don't tell the other professors I told you that." It probably sounded cheesy coming from her, so she didn't harp on the point. "Anyway, if you have any questions, or just feel like a chat, I'll be right here." She leaned back and drank some more of her coffee, wincing and tapping it with her wand to warm it back up. There was probably not a huge amount of studying going on, but there was more than she expected. After the food table cleared up a bit and the studying (if there even was much to begin with) lessened, Gabrielle dismissed them with a smile.

Homework
RP the lesson. Thanks for your patience this semester! PM me if you have any issues/have specific requirements for your character.

Winnie walked into the history classroom, sure that much like the previous lesson and lessons generally in this week, that they weren’t going to be doing a whole lot. Winnie took her seat and then looked to the professor and then the professor told them they were allowed to study. She said a lot of other things, but Winnie had stopped listening and had just begun revising. She worked until the lesson was wrapped up and then she quickly headed out of the room.

Daiki walked into the history of magic classroom and took his usual spot in the room. The professor got started, telling them that they could revise. He opened his books and then with Kairi slowly began revising, going over what they had learnt in the semester - not rushing it, just very slowly going over it to make sure it was in his head. The lesson was eventually wrapped up and he was able to pack up and leave the room.

Jonah walked into the classroom taking note of the snacks like last year. He grabbed an apple and a couple of sweets from the table before settling into his seat. Exams were coming up and Jonah could not deny that he was worried about most of them. He didn't fail a class last semester but who knew if that would change this time. He mostly kept to himself for the majority of the lesson though he did occasionally ask Sayuri a question which she at least grudgingly answered.

Sayuri's gaze flickered over to the snack table, contemplating if she was in the mood to grab anything off of it. Nope. Not really. She leaned back in her chair for a moment contemplating how much revision she still needed to do. She supposed she could rewrite some of her notes for clarity. Decided on what she would be doing, she pulled out her notes and her book and got to revising. The quiet chatter of the room was swiftly ignored and by the time she looked up from all the writing, it was nearly time to go. At least there was enough time for the ink to dry.

Imogen Styx-Cade missed being at home, and could not wait until she was back home for a little while. She loved the breaks that the students had so that they could go home, and then return for a whole new set of courses. Imogen mainly missed her bed. She loved her room too. Maybe that was what she missed most of all. Imogen saw the time, and took her bag out of the dorm room and hurried to her next class. Imogen walked in the History of Magic classroom and found her seat. Professor Moncrieffe started the lesson with how they had free reign of studying and snacks. She got up to grab a couple of snacks and a drink, and then opened her notes up to study. She studied for the rest of the period, just enough to make sure that she would do okay on the exam.
