If there was a list if People whos life got way better after graduation, then Kaia would definitely be on top of it. It was like everything finally took its place, she was at ease, studying for a marine biologist, working at sea life park, spending time surfing, meditation, travelling. Her dad bought her a safari jeep and a little house away from the people but on the beach. And living alone only with her dog and occasional animals that she took in from the park to take care of. However, she had to admit that she missed her friends, especially Zay. And when they decided to meet up, it was like a little party to Kaia whose whole life had become a party. Since she still couldn’t cook, she had drove her way up to city, took some bakings, some food, a little bit of everything and got ready to wait for her best friend. It even felt a little surreal and she was curious to see how he had changed.

Isaiah had been thoroughly enjoying his life after graduation. He was happy to not be locked between a couple of stone walls for the most part of the year anymore. Happy he didn't need to sit through classes that didn't interest him or deal with some of the other things he had disliked about being at school. The one thing he missed the most was quidditch. Oh, and his friends. Ofcourse his friends. Admittedly, he had been having such a good time travelling with El's circus that it sometimes made him forget there were other people in his life he needed to keep up. His dads, his siblings.. his other friends. Jordie, Wes, Kaia, for starters. It had been a while since he had seen any of them, which is why he had been stoked when Kaia had reached out to invite him over. It had to be a dreadful trip without wizarding ways of travel, it already was. After wishing El luck with tonight's show Zay had headed off to use a portkey that would take him far away, moving on to travel through the floo network when he had gotten to the U.S. "Merlin, travelling like this is so not fun." He grumbled when he stepped out of the fireplace, looking around the room he was now in. "Yo, Kaia? I'm here!"

Kaia immediately started to laugh once she heard complaining in her living room, she took her dog in one arm and Hawaiian banana nut bread that she bought when going to the city. “Don’t step on my turtle!” It was one of the university given ones that she was supposed to take care of. She put dog down, bread on the table and jumped on Zay to hug him. “Aaaaah, you’re here! A whole year, loser, we didn’t see each other for a whole year!” Zay was her best friend in the whole world and finally seeing him after so long felt just unbelievably good.

Isaiah stopped dead in his tracks when Kaia called out something about a turtle, not daring to take another step as he glanced towards the floor. "What turtle, dude?" He called back, not seeing anything remotely resembling a turtle but willing to take the risk as he stepped further into the room. If there was a turtle anywhere close he would've seen it by now. "Yeah, well, happy to see you too." Zay laughed when Kaia hugged him. He was genuinely glad to see her though, even if it was difficult to imagine it had already been a whole year. Travelling with the circus had truly made him lose track of time. Once she let go he moved over to the couch and dropped down, scratching her dog behind its ear for a second before looking back up at his friend. "Seriously though, what turtle?"

When Zay called back to her about what turtle Kaia’s eyes went wide. “What do you mean where the turtle is? It was supposed to be here,” Kaia really missed Zay but missing her turtle was a catastrophe right now. “Ok, big boy. Look, welcome back, I work at sea life park as a biologist and I had that turtle from my work as she is old and needed to take a little bit more care of before letting her go back to park to the good oldies. And she was supposed to be here,” she showed to a huge bowl of water that she had near wall as she was soaking the turtle to clean it. She was gonna go back to loving Zay right after she found the turtle.
