She often blames herself for how her children grew up and for her husband's passing.

She held all of her ten children to that while growing up which created a damaged relationship with Ember once she had graduated from school. Due to this Ryder, does not really know her grandmother or even many of her aunts, uncles, and cousins on this side of the family.

Ana's life revolves around appearances. She raised her kids to be the most "perfect" versions of themselves. Ana still calls herself a "socialite" and goes to events regularly even in her own age. The Sandersons do not know much about her due to the falling out.

This floor contains Marlow's parents' room in the Master Suite, Rune and Ryders rooms which are separate rooms connected with a shared bathroom. There is also a guest bedroom on this floor.

The third floor is the entertainment floor. There is a well-stocked library with plenty of reading areas. There is also a game room especially popular with Ryder's friends, and another guest room.

Abridged Sorting Ceremony:

Ryder entered the Great Hall. This was definitely a new experience for him. All his life, he had been homeschooled with his siblings, having such freedom. Of course as one would wrongly assume, he could have ended up anti-social, but that was not the case. Ryder played as many sports as possible, socializing with his teammates (most of the day taking charge). He always knew best, knew what he needed to succeed, to make his father proud. Of course his mother always seemed proud of him, that did not seem to mean much to the brown haired boy.

Ryder followed the first years up to the front of the Great Hall. He was standing next to his brother Rune. Rune looking like a nervous wreck. Ryder gave his brother a slight push, probably harder than necessary. It was his way of comforting him, even if it did not look like that was the case. Ryder had always been the 'older' twin even if their parents had never quite said who was born first. Ryder knew it had to be him though, he was always first. Except for now of course. Alphabetical order ruined that.

After the speech was over, much of which Ryder tuned out looking at the ceiling above. Magic was really something, even he could admit that. But the young boy's focus was taken when a hat began to sing. His older sister had told him about the sorting hat as had his parents, but it certainly was a sight to see. A smile spread across his face as he heard the Sorting Hat's version of each house. Ryder's father was a Slytherin, his mother had been a Hufflepuff, while Marlow was also following in his father's footsteps and became a Slytherin. This did made Ryder a little jealous. She doesn't even care about anything but art He thought knowing deep down he did love his sister, just did not understand her.

Ryder's brother was the first to be sorted as the Hat called out Hufflepuff. Typical He thought knowing his brother very much took after their kind hearted and sensitive mother. He clapped for his brother anyway, happy that he looked less nervous now that it was over with. But now it was time for the real event. Now it was Ryder's turn.

"Sanderson, Ryder."

Ryder ran his hands through his hair, messy it up a little bit as he walked towards the front of the room tempted to give a bow, knowing it would be overkill until people got to know his sense of humor better. As the young boy sat on the stool, the Sorting Hat was placed on his head, flattening his messy hair. I hear we have a say He thought feeling strange thinking (or talking he guessed) to a hat. I just want to be the best. Maybe the house with the best Quidditch Team. He thought honestly. He sat and waited for the Sorting Hat to decide where he would fit best, where he would be able to stand out.

"Well....that's easy....with a number of consecutive quidditch cup wins....Slytherin,"

Reaction: Ryder was proud he was in Slytherin, carrying on his family’s legacy

Reasoning: Ryder believes this are the only subjects that actually do something. He hates boring classes that are just full of notes and useless information. He would much rather do the practical portions of all his classes.
