Open Running late

[Penny Wills]

Penny had been looking forward to the Yule Ball, an opportunity to get dressed up, do her hair and dance too. She wore a blue dress with her long blonde hair down and heals that proved unsuitable for walking on the uneven floor in the dungeon, that, combined with taking a long time to get ready had made her late for the start time. There were a lot of people when she arrived in the Great Hall but she was certain she'd find Finn amongst the crowd. She scanned the hall for @Finn Lockley .

Finn was going to attend the ball with Penny, but since he didn't want to be alone with her the full night he had asked some friends to join them. He was going to do the photo moment with her and he had shown her his tux. His mother had bought a blue tux for him and he assumed Penny would be wearing a blue dress. When he spotted her he smiled broadly. The dress was lovely to say the least and for once Penny didn't seem to be in a situation of danger. ''Funny to see you without some kind of distress for once'' Finn grinned and offered his hand to Penny. He knew she probably didn't accept, but it seemed like a gentleman way to do. He knew she was touchy with holding hands, but he hoped he could gain her trust in time. ''You look beautiful in that dress'' Finn complimented while he looked at the frilly bits at the bottom.

"Hey Finn! Sorry I'm a little late" She laughed at his comment, "You would not have said that had you seen me running through the dungeons trying to get here on time, in high heals!" She told him jovially, she was okay walking now she was in the Great Hall. "Thank you!" Penny replied, checking Finn's tux out at the same time, "There are not many boys who can pull off a royal blue tux, but you are one of them. You look dapper this evening!" Penny replied, you have to be blind not to think that Finn was good looking on an average day, but he was beautiful dressed up for the ball. "Let's get a photograph!"

Finn hadn't even realized Penny was that late. There were multiple people still waiting for their dates and thus he wasn't worried that Penny had let him down. Finn laughed when Penny spoke about running in the dungeons on high heels. ''While that is dangerous for normal people, for you that is a disaster waiting to happen'' Finn winked and grinned. ''Blue is definitely my colour.'' Black suits seemed to be something for weddings or funerals and thus he had opted for a bit of colour. Finn wasn't really fond of photographs, it meant he would be the centre of attention and he was more of person that blended into the environment. ''Sure'' Finn nodded ''Hopefully they have some good variety with snacks and drinks at the ball'' Finn wasn't going to actually dance, he was just going to stuff his belly full with everything he could get his hand on.
