🌹 Rose Giving Ring a ring of roses, a pocket full of poseies

Hugo hadn't realised the girl who had given him his bouquet of pink roses was Susie Lagowski. Mind you, his mind had absolutely not been on the roses he was giving when she had found him pre-coffee, and if that had not been enough, he had been suitably distracted. It was lunchtime, and he was in the great hall. The place was noisier than usual with people calling out each other's names and giving roses over the din. he walked along the Hufflepuff table and stopped when he noticed the girl. "Excuse me. Susie. I just wanted to check on how your deliveries are going after this morning" he asked.

Susie looked up from her salad* and smiled. It was Hugo. "I finished!" she said. "I think. Did I forget someone? Oh, no." Why Hugo would know she'd forgotten someone, or how many people she was even delivering to, she didn't stop to consider. He was the head boy, so he probably knew everything about everything. In any case, she was ready to abandon her salad* if she needed to.

*The crouton-to-lettuce ratio was highly disproportionate, but still, it was a salad​

Hugo couldn't help admit he was impressed that the girl, Susie, had managed to get all her roses delivered. "Well done. i am impressed" he said. however from her uncertainty he shook his head. why were people so nervous when he spoke to them. he was just him, probably one of the least scary people he knew but she wasnt the first to think they were in trouble with him today. "I dont know. I just heard you were asking after my sister. and wanted to make sure you found her" he said. He had sent his sister a rose after she had been disappointed with not having received one last year and wanted to make sure she had it. "Plus, and more importantly, i have a delivery for you, and its a red one." he said. reaching into his bucket and picking out a red rose nestled amongst the pink. and holding it out to the girl.

Susie relaxed. "Yeah, I found her. She's cool," she said. "It's not fair. You got a cool sibling." Her expression changed as she saw the rose. Red? But Eoghan and Lili had already given her yellow ones, and Freddie said he wasn't sending one. Who would give her a red rose? She took it, smelling the blossom, savoring the excitement for a moment before she unfolded the note. Oh. Ha! She half-stood, grinning, and looking around for Ten. Spotting her, she waved and made a heart with her hands.

"It's from my friend," she explained, as she sat back down. She hadn't actually thought of Ten as a friend, but they did hang out a bit on the camping trip. The quidditch game had been a lot of fun. "Did you get any more?"​
