Simon had really wanted to ask Charlotte to the yuleball, but hadn’t in fact found the time to. He had and should’ve because he found himself attending the ball alone. Stood in a suit, dressed better than pretty much everyone in the room and just oh so pleased with how he was looking. Simon straightened out the suit and stood at the edge of the room. He hadn’t ever managed really to make more friends than what he had so the boy was a little lonely in the room. He knew that he should’ve asked her, he liked her, he liked her a whole lot and he was sure that she liked him too, or at the very least, she could tolerate spending a bit of time with him. The boy headed further into the room and glanced about at the different people. He grabbed himself a snack and a drink and continued to just move about the room. He liked the great hall at this time of year and with or without a date he would always attend the event itself, there was no sense in not attending just because he was without a date, he could always run into someone or spend the time with someone, there would be little harm in that at all. He was just going to have to spot someone he knew or talk to someone random that yuleball.
