After another day of staying in his dorm and doing his homework, Isaac was bored so he got up and decided to leave the castle wearing a striped shirt and jeans with a brown jacket over. Without realizing where he was going, and as usual Isaac always seemed to end up at the lawn. It had unknowingly become his favorite place at Hogwarts. He just liked to go there to think and relax and get away from the crowds of people in the halls. It reminded him of his home and how it always seemed crowded. In his house, even though it was very spacious, he felt like he never seemed to have much space to relax because even if his siblings were far away, he could always hear them because they liked to be obnoxiously loud. It didn't help that the most obnoxious one of all, Summer, was now at Hogwarts and in his own house! Thankfully she hadn't bothered him too much yet. The Slytherin boy leaned back against his elbows and just looked out at all the other students passing by, glad to let his mind wander and take a break from homework.

Sydney walked away from her friends, they were good but she couldn't deal with them at the moment. After lying in her bed for about an hour, refusing to attend that days lesson, Sydney had read the rest of the letter, her mother was now pregnant. She wasn't sure how to feel about that, the reason she had gone for a walk. Sydney brushed her, now blonde, hair out of her face and hugged herself. She was regretting only wearing a short top and jeans but was thankful for the warm boots.

As Sydney walked away from the lake and through the lawns, she noticed a familiar figure walking through. She hadn't seen him around since they spoke last in the common room, messing around with each other, trying to make the other annoyed but in a friendly way. She changed course and walked towards him, coming up from Isaacs behind. She wondered breifly how he would react to her hair, everyone else was shocked by it. "Hey Isaac."

Isaac was sitting back and enjoying the spring weather, he was never much of a nature guy but the day was rather nice, when suddenly he heard someone say his name from behind. Immediately he sat up straight and turned behind him to find the source of the voice. The Slytherin had to do a double take as he finally realized who it was. "Sydney?" he said questioningly, before figuring that it was her. He quickly got up off the ground and brushed off any stray grass. "Hey!" he said to her once he was sure it was her, a smile forming upon his face. For a moment he forgot that he had told himself not to be nice to her just to continue their little game so he said, "I like your hair, why the sudden change?" He stared at her and smiled to himself, thinking that she even looked good with bright blonde hair, she could probably pull anything off and look good in it.

Sydney smiled and sat beside him. "I felt like it, mother let me even though Father was..." She paused, her dad had been against it. The conversation had been the last they had had, and now he was gone. She looked down, her smile gone.

Isaac sat down again and positioned himself to sit beside her again, turning himself to face her better. He listened as she explained that her mother let her change her hair just because she felt like it and was going to continue her sentence but she stopped midway. Isaac had been wearing a small smile in contentment at seeing Sydney again but as soon as he saw her smile gone, his disappeared as well. "Well it looks great," he complimented her, hoping that it would bring the smile back on her face, but he could feel something was wrong so he asked, "Anything wrong?"

Sydney nodded but didn't speak, who knew if she could trust thsi guy. It was the third time they had met, the first him being beaten up and the second them trying to annoy each other, it wasn't the ideal relationship to trsut each other yet. She waited for him to speak again, half wishing Shaylah was here, half liking them being alone.

Isaac noticed her nod her head and immediately his eyebrows furrowed together with concern. He had to admit that he wasn't very good at these whole comforting situations, he felt like he sometimes made them worse, so he was afraid to speak. He sat there in silence for a moment, feeling like he was dragging on this silence, but really it hadn't been that long. His pale blue eyes looked into hers apologetically and was going to say something in an attempt to comfort her, but then remembered how he had best cheered up Isabella over the holiday break when her mother had passed away. Of course he had comforted her, repeated the same soothing words others had told her, but most of all he had just been there for her as a distraction and entertainment. He had entertained her so she would be distracted from the thought of losing her mother, if only for a little while, he had been her friend.

Hoping that Sydney's reason to be somewhat gloomy wasn't the same reason as Isabella's, Isaac nudged her playfully and smiled brightly at her, flashing her his full set of pearly whites. "Well, I don't know what's wrong but I do hope it gets better, and just know that you'll always have me to distract you," he said to her reassuringly.

Sydney coughed at the boys words, even at age twelve she knew about things wich made her assume other things. She did, however, doubt he meant what she was thinking. She smirked a little, the thought of her daddy gone from her head. "So, you want to distract me? How you thinking af doing that?" Her voice had a suggestive tone to it.

The suggestiveness of Isaac's proposal had been so subtle he was afraid Sydney would not have picked up on it, but surprisingly she had. What surprised him even more was what she had responded and the way she responded. Immediately Isaac mirrored the smirk she was wearing and shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly in reply to her question. "I can think of a few ways," he said, surprising even himself at how suggestive his comment had come out. Isaac didn't really care as long as he got Sydney smiling and not feeling so glum like she had a few moments ago.

Sydney laughed and leant back on her arms. "And what might they be?" She moved slightly sideways, as if swaying, and smirked at him again. She was all smiley now, quite interested inthis new game between them. She preferred this kind of teasing to the other one, this was more, let's say enjoyable, than making each other annoyed.

Isaac smirked slightly to himself, mostly glad that he had gotten Sydney to stop being so sad like she was previously. He couldn't help but find her really attractive when she smirked at him. "And what might they be?" Isaac chuckled but only lightly, as he looked up to the sky. "Ahh, well I guess you'll just have to find that out," he said to her with a twinkle in his pale blue eyes. He found it funny how they were still teasing each other, only this time it wasn't the mean kind of teasing, and he much rather liked this version of teasing.

Sydney pouted and leant toward him, arms in front of her now, crossed under her chest. "That's hardly fair." Her voice was pouty aswell, a slightly teasing hint to it. She looked up at him through her long eyelashes and ulled the puppy dog look, unresistable to most people. Sydney was now leaning closer to him, much closer, so much that she could even smell him. It wasn't a nasty smell, she had to admit that.
