It was late afternoon by the time Freddie knocked on Professor Adler-Cade's door. He wasn't very good at talking to teachers. Mostly he only talked to them when he was in trouble. But Professor Adler was quite nice, and he hadn't been in trouble with her yet, so he was hoping it wouldn't be awkward.

@Professor Geovanna Adler-Cade

"Freddie!" Geo popped up behind the boy, moving past him to open the door and holding it open for him. "What can I help you with?" At this point, it could equally have been to do with roses and it was likely he had a question with his homework.

Freddie jumped. Whoa. Why'd she sneak up on him? "I'm not coming in," he said, digging around in his basket. "I just have a rose. I'm delivering roses." He checked all the yellow ones first, then suddenly realised Professor Adler's was red. He offered it to her, holding it by the bottom of the thin stem - but the flower on the end was too heavy, and the stem suddenly folded. "S**t," he said, before he could stop it. "I'm sorry. Sorry."

it's been nice having you around so much, ill miss you next year <3 - lumos

Geo's eyebrows raised as Freddie announced he wasn't coming in, only to produce a droopy rose. It was red though, which must have meant it was either from James or one of their children. She took the rose in one hand, her other waving up the stem until it was upright once more. "No need to be sorry, it's nothing that can't be fixed," she told him, crossing to put the rose in a small vase on her desk before reading the note from Lumos. It was bittersweet really, she was going to miss being here as well. "Thank you for bringing this to me Freddie," she offered him a smile, "Do you need any help with where to find any others?" she asked, knowing from experience it could sometimes be difficult to track people down.

The rose could be fixed, but Freddie couldn't take the swear word back. Professor Adler didn't really notice though. Or just didn't say anything, which was nice. He waited for her to finish reading, bouncing the basket a bit with his knee. "You're welcome," he said, brushing his hair out of his face. "Um - yeah. Maybe. I don't know who this is." He fished the crumpled list out of his pocket and flattened it against his stomach. "Dakrey? Who is Dakrey?"

Geo didn't want to presume Freddie didn't know what he was doing, so much as she wanted to make sure he knew he could ask if he needed to. "Dakrey is the Cade family house elf," she explained, although she saved the boy the details. "If he's not with one of the Walden-Cade children, your best bet is to find him in the kitchens," at least if he wasn't in there, the other elves might know where to point him.

"Ohh..." House elf made sense. The Lagowskis never had one of those. Freddie shoved the list back in his pocket and scratched his arm. "Okay. Thank you. Actually, I have a class question. Are we gonna have duels? In class?"
