Recieving More Than Letters

Silence crept in amongst them once more, but it wasn't an awkward silence which was good. Sam watched a pair of girls talking animatedly walk out of view then turned back to Toni who was also looking out the window. "Its a great day." Sam said simply putting his hands in the back pockets of his jeans.

He was glad that the dreary days of Autumn and Winter were fading and sunshine and clear skies were beginning to appear. "Do you have some place to go...or do you want to hang out another bit?" Sam asked her, he couldn't pass up going outside on a day like today especially when he was in a good mood.

"Yeah it really is" Toni said thinking how nice days usually were going to lead towards the summer holidays. One holiday that Toni was not looking forward to. She would have to spend the whole summer with her family. Maybe she could get away with just staying at the New Zealand home, but then she wouldn't get to see Amanda in which she really did miss.

Looking over at Sam for a moment, Toni thought that she really didn't have anything else to do. Plus how could she turn down a time hanging out with Sam. "Why don't we go for a walk outside" Toni suggested. "Or whatever" Toni added not knowing if Sam was really up for a walk or if he just wanted to stay in the owlery.

Sam's eyes brightened, "You took the words right out of my mind." He chuckled, "Aw walk sounds...sounds nice." Sam nodded and glanced out at the beautiful day awaiting them. It looked like one of the nicest days he had seen at Hogwarts yet. He walked slowly over to the door of the Owlery and opened it. He held it open while turning back to Toni, "Coming?" He said with a small smile lying on his face.

"I guess I am just good like that" Toni said smiling as Sam commented how she had taken the words right out of his mouth. Looking out towards the day for another moment wondering if it was warm enough to make her way outside without a light jacket. Probably.

Turning her head and notcing that Sam had made his way towards the door, Toni followed thinking how it had been awhile since she really enjoyed a day outside like this. Last time Toni really went on a walk outside was after the Yule ball. Now that seemed ages past.

"Let's not walk too close to the lake though" Toni added as she stood side by side with Sam. The mermaids in the lake still disliked Toni quite a bit and Toni shared the feeling. The worst possible thing now could be having those stupid water people pull her into the lake in front of Sam. How embarassing that would be.

Toni walked out the door of the owlery the letter from Amanda still nestled in her hand. What a day not to have pockets in her outfit.

((Are we actually starting a topic? And if so do you want to start it or do you want me to? ^_^ ))

"Your going to have to explain to me about not walking by the lake." Sam smiled to her before making his way down the steps leaving the Owlery and his grumpiness behind him.

End of Thread.

(I can start it, you started this one ;) )
