Nathaniel smiled as he sat down of one of the benches in the hall of the police station, putting his bag on the ground next to it and glancing through the glass doors; it was raining like crazy outside. It had been rather busy and the young man was glad that he was done for the day, but his clothes seemed to finally be dry after doing his patrol and he didn't feel like getting them soaked again, so he decided to wait for the weather to clear up a bit. It didn't seem like it would stop raining for a while though, but hopefully it would get a bit less so he could walk home and if it wouldn't he might just wait on Matthew, who would be done in about two hours, and catch a ride home from him.
A cold stream of air entered the police station as the doors opened and three officers walked in, greeting Nate as they passed him and he tried not to laugh, whilst saying hello to them. He felt like he really shouldn't laugh, because although the chances of their grumpiness being caused by the rain were very big, they might've also just had a rough day, which could be very understandable seeing as that happened a lot. In Nate's experience all of the people who work at the station are incredibly nice and friendly and he felt like it was a shame that people were often very rude against them. Whenever he walked around in his uniform Nate felt like he was judged by a lot of people, having the idea that some of them were praising him for the job he did, whilst other disliked him a lot. Another stream of cold air woke Nathaniel up out of his thoughts and he turned his head towards the doors, watching them as they opened up again.
