Quiet Time

Ellie bounded out of the Castle and down towards the Forest. Sitting in the stuffy common room, she'd had a sudden urge to go there. She hadn't been there since the last time she had gone in exploring with Harri, and right now she wanted some quiet time. It was Sunday, and most of the school had no lessons, but there was noone outside, as far as she could see. It was bitterly cold and the wind stung at her face, but she didn't mind, living in London then Scotland, then New Zealand then London again had caused her to love the cold. She'd never lived anywere warm, although New Zealand had it's moments, and she preffered it when it was raining, cold and windy. It made her feel alive, for one reason or another.
Arriving at the edge of the Forrest, not one to be scared or think of the might happens, she stepped in mongst the trees and wandered further inside. It was dark in the Forrest, and minimum patches of light shone through trees here and there.
Stopping by a large oak tree, she slid down it's trunk until she was cross legged on the forrest floor. She could still see the grounds in the distance, and anybody nearby would probably be able to see her, especially since her outfit for the day was rather colourful against the browns and greens. She was wearing a pair of small shorts, a white t-shirt and a multi-coloured Gypsy type scarf. Her pink converse matched the pink in the scarf well. So she hoped that maybe someone else would take a wander into the woods and she would have company.
Letting out a soft sigh, a smile spread accross her face. It was so peacefull. The only noises which could be heard were the rustling of the trees, exchanging gossip amongst themselves, and the small chirps of birds. Tucking a long, dark curl behind her ear, she lay her head against the trunk and closed her eyes slightly.

Carlisle was walking down to his most favorite place in the whole of Hogwarts. The forbidden forest. He knew every danger to behold in this place.. and welcomed it. He welcomed the free air and the trees high above him. He welcomed the quiet and near solitude. He welcomed the animals calls that split the soft air. He was home...

He walked slow and gracefully, each movement as fluid as the last before pulling himself up onto a low branch and swinging around it quietly and keeping that same, graceful and fluid movements. He made his way from tree to tree.. Not noticing when he came within visual range of a girl. He just kept spinning around and flipping form tree to tree. Almost like a dance. A faint smile played across his lips. There was not better place in the world to be.

He made his way across the trees to the large oak which the girl was sitting under, landing lightly on one of the branches. It was only when he hooked his feet around the branch and swung down to a hanging upside down position.. his face only a few inches from the girl. Did he actually notice her.

His eyes widened slightly, ''Oh.. uhm..'' He looked at her for another moment then gave a slightly nervous smile mixed with curiosity and just an oddness. ''Hi?''

Ellie's eyes snapped open as she heard movement nearby, she got a bit of a fright as she spotted a face inches from her own. The face belonged to a boy, a boy who was hanging upside down, his legs hooked around one of the branches of the old oak. "Oh, Hey" Ellie smiled brightly, "I'm, Um, Ellie" she told the boy, studying his hanging position with intrest. She had tried things like that a few times, but they had never ended well. Her legs were too short to wind round braches easily, although she had taken a strech lately and was now a good 64 inches, no longer tiny!

Carlisle's smile became more comfortable as she introduced herself. '' I'm Carlisle'' He greeted. His voice had the faintest of french lilts that seemed to make his words dance freely off his tongue. He held out his hand to the girl before reconsidering this since he was upside down. He easily let go of the branch and flipped down to the ground. Landing in a perfect standing position.., as though he was like that all along.

He looked the girl over once in curiosity before asking, ''And what brings a fine miss like you to the forest?'' a twinkle flashed in his eye and he gave a faint chuckle before waiting for her answer. He was used to finding people in the forest by now and liked to hear their stories. Everyone had a reason to come here.

Ellie grinned, "Nice to meet you" she told Carlisle as he landed by her side, she realised he had a nice French accent.
"The Common Room was too crowded, I wanted to come somewere peacefull and what better place than the Forest. Also, it's dark and more secluded than anywere else in the grounds, there's something calming about it. It's as if time stops when you're in it, and you're completely at ease. Yet you can have some of the greatest adeventures. But, today I'm more in the mood for the peacefull side of things" she explained, her large brown eyes sparkling. "How about you?" she asked in return.

Carlisle listened as she explained why she was here and he understood completely. When she asked why he was here he looked around and gave a content sigh. ''the smell the sounds the trees.. Home'' was all he could say as he looked around the forest before returning his gaze to the girl in front of him. She was rather pretty.

He sat himself down before flicking a fresh apple from his sleeve. He seemed to be able to conjure up anything when the time needed. He held it out to her with one of his odd smiles, ''I probably spend more time here then in the castle...'' He said. his face kept curios as he looked at her from time to time.
