Quidditch points are earned by completing flying lessons in year one then practising.
Duelling points are gaind by practice, joining the duelling club and duelling.
First years have been allowed to tryout for quidditch in the past, though this year I do not know, it is up to Alicia.
Lastly, tryouts will be when the school year starts and the Headmistress will tell everybody.
