Quidditch Roses

Finally a rose for someone she knew. Not that she liked the person very much. She had played against her in her first game and for Elly Lyra was way too much in love with herself. Setting away her emotions she waited on the pitch for the Gryffindor training to be over so she could dump the yellow rose with Lyra. ''Hey Lyra I have a rose for you.''

Lyra was leaving the pitch after practice, intending to go begin to get ready for the Valentine’s dance. She would be attending with her boyfriend, Felix. It felt so good to finally be out in the open without any hiding or lying. She wanted tonight to be perfect. Lyra was startled when a girl she didn’t know called her name. She pursed her lips as she turned to the girl. She was holding out a yellow rose. Obviously, it wasn’t from her boyfriend because it wasn’t red, so she couldn’t help but wonder who sent it. Surely, there was a note. The Gryffindor girl smiled politely. “Thank you. Is there a note?” She asked curiously.

Elly looked at the flower and it did have a card. She wondered who send Lyra the note. Not that she knew anyone in her year, she was just curious.There sure is, here is your rose. Elly handed Lyra her rose. ''Hopefully it says something nice'' She also had given some roses with less lovely texts, so a nice text would be a plus.

Lyra took the note curiously, and she read it quickly. There wasn't much to it. She laughed and nodded her head to Elizabeth. "It's nice, in his way. Maybe even nicer than the one he sent me when we were dating a few years ago." she said with a grin. Most people would never understand her friendship with Lanithro, but Lyra was confident in it. He would always been one of her best friends.
