Quidditch Game: Ilvermorny vs Beauxbatons

Larissa never expected that she would be hit but she groaned when it made contact with her shoulder.

Ocean missed.

Bellamy winced as he rotated his arm and could feel where the bludger hit him. He hated that part of the game. Usually as keeper he was out of the way but he just hoped it wasn't an omen as he focused on where the chasers were going.

They were in the lead for now which was good but Zoey didn't let herself relax as she flew beside Hadrian as they followed the Beauxbaton's chaser.

Ocean hit another bludger but it flew into one of the beauxbatons’ beaters @Tullia Whitlock again.

Vincent wondered if he would need to call a time out for one of his beaters. This was new.

Larissa could not find a bludger.

Ocean apparantly had it out for the other team’s beater (or she was just really good at flying inbetween their seeker and the bludgers she send their way) and send a bludger into @Tullia Whitlock once more.

ooc: 3rd hit (this is definitely something lol)

Reeve called a time out, watching the player get down to the ground and to a nurse before moving back to the captain to see what they would do.

Well, this was new. Vincent flew over to his team, with the one single alternate. He smiled at @Niniane Archambeau and said, "Okay so I want you to play as a chaser for now." He called out to Light to tell him that he was filling in for the injured beater. He then flew to the ref to tell him the changes. He would have filled in as a beater himself, but he had little to no upper body strength.

Reeve nodded and made the adjustments before heading back into the air. "Game on!"

OOCOut of Character:
Beauxbatons has used 1 time out since they switched around some players/positions.

From my read, @Alicia Richelieu is in possession and has 19 minutes to post before the quaffle is fair game. If that's incorrect, please reach out so I can correct.

Light grabbed a beater's bat and headed out to see if he could knock someone out.

Larissa never thought a beater would have been at risk, but she was surprised. Oh well, she continued on her search.

Seeing Ocean take out one of the beaters was a surprise, but he hoped it would help Nabi nab them the snitch. It also meant Beauxbaton's chasers were all mixed up which made it much easier for Melrose to sneak in from the side and wrest the quaffle away from the French chaser once again as play resumed.

With the game resumed Ocean chased another bludger and swung her bat at it, sending it flying towards @Bellamy Parish. Apparently her hits were going for anyone that wasn’t the seeker.

Vincent winced as his keeper was hit for the second time. He didn't have enough players to cover for another one to be knocked out. This was making him worry as he searched for the snitch.

Nabi was glad when the game resumed, she had yet to see any sign of the snitch though.

This wasn't the role Nina had expected to play, but she wasn't going to complain. She simply nodded at the captain, mounting up very quickly and taking to the skies. She was kind of glad she didn't have to play beater, she much preferred dodging bludgers to hitting them.

Hadrian was surprised to see one of the Beauxbatons beaters get taken out, though he wasn't exactly about to complain. He got back into the swing of things, falling in with his teammates.

Celestine was kind of impressed with the Ilvermorny beaters, even if they weren't hitting the seeker. She was just glad they had hit Tullia instead of her, because bruises were so not cute. When play resumed, Celestine went back to searching for bludgers, wondering if she'd get any cool defensive shots off.

Melrose was feeling a little bolder with Hadrian backing him up, doubly so when Ocean sent another bludger into the French keeper too. It still wasn't enough for Melrose to score however, his hands fumbling the shot as he tried to quickly get in a goal before the keeper could recover.

Ocean glanced around in search of a bludger to hit.

Light managed to find a bludger, and whacked it toward the seeker. Only his aim was wrong, and he hit a seeker. It just happened to be @Vincent Poe instead.

Larissa could not help but laugh when Beauxbatons hit their own seeker.

Vincent thought that he managed to find the snitch, but when he was going after it, he was hit by a bludger. Vincent looked in the direction where it came from and it was from Light. "Wrong target, genius!" Vincent called out, a bit annoyed.
