Transfer them from HNZ to HS (cross-sites) or just say that your student is attending Hogwarts Scotland and not actually RP them or what?

Well, you could say James went off to Hogwarts Scotland, but the sister site is closed down for now and we don't have HS forums here. So you would only be able to RP him in 'All Around the Wizarding World' and 'Home for the Holidays'.
Also, if/when you wanted him to be an active student on HNZ again he'd have to start back as a second year.
