Open Psyching Yourself Up

Teddy considered their options when in reality he didn't want to take either path. He would happily take option 3, the option he didn't give them, and walk back the way they came, but he didn't want to be the one to suggest it because he was the cool one of the group. At least cooler than Friday at the very least. They agreed the left path so Teddy shrugged his shoulders and agreed on the left path too, although in reality, he contemplated suggesting a return without explicitly saying so. "Any specific destination in mind? I mean, once you've seen one spooky tree, you've pretty much seen them all," he remarked.

Friday had perhaps hoped they might turn back, that both boys would finally admit to being chicken and want to turn back. But instead they settled on the left path, and she took a moment to just stare at it before deciding she did indeed want to follow. But thankfully, it seemed that Teddy was growing either bored or scared, and that was good for her. "We can turn back, if you've seen enough, Zeddy," she said, trying to make it seem like he was scared or something.
