Stefan moved through the crowd, people stepping out of his way. He didn't even think of it- he was used to others bending around him. He still side-stepped when others didn't notice him, not too mighty to demand the crowd cater to his whim. He didn't spot Val right away but he was sure his son was around here somewhere. Possibly with the girl he'd seen. He wandered if he'd meet her. Stefan stopped, straightening the watch on his wrist. Searching the crowd wasn't working for him, so perhaps standing still was the better option.

Graduation ceremony over, Valerius slipped into the crowd. He was an expert at ducking through these things by now, and it wasn't long until he found his dad, straightening his watch and awaiting his arrival. "Old man," He greeted, slipping up to him with his hands in his pockets.

Stefan looked up, smiling as Val appeared. Stefan reached his hand out. "Congratulations, son," He offered easily, pride clear in his voice. "You did very well," He praised. "Where shall we go to dinner tonight?" He questioned, mind already jumping ahead.

((Feel free to interrupt now))

Valerius reached out, giving his father a firm handshake. "Thanks, father," He offered back, ignoring the flush rising up the back of his neck. He jumped onto the new line of conversation, sliding his hands back into his pockets. "Italian sounds good. The villa?" He asked, thinking they could just fly out to their villa in the Tuscan countryside outside of Florence.

Kiara was relieved the ceremony was over, although she dreaded having to make her way through the crowd to find her family. She tried to carefully weave her way through to where she thought she had see Chloë's red hair but still managed to bump into a few people. She echoed a few awkward excuses and tried her best to carry on but was starting to feel more and more trapped in the crowd as she moved on. Before she could get truly overwhelmed though she noticed Valerius and instinctively grabbed onto his arm while she stepped up next to him to make herself feel more at ease. "Sorry. Hi." She said softly before glancing at the man he had been talking to and offering him a smile.

Stefan had just put his hands into his pockets- he wouldn't have any phone service, so arranging the jet was out of the question right now. He was about to agree with his son when a girl appeared, wrapping around his arm. Stefan raised a brow. He returned her smile, putting a hand on his chest and dipping his head slightly. "Buonasera, Signora, Felice di vederti," He greeted her, giving his son a coy smile.

*Good evening, miss, nice to see you

Valerius was surprised when Kiara appeared, and he turned to her with a warm smile. "Hello, bellissima," He replied easily, bringing his hand up to cover hers. "Not liking the crowd?" He murmured, before nodding to his man. "Kiara, meet my father, Stefan. Father, this is Kiara Thompson, a close ah... friend," He offered, chuckling. He kissed her forehead almost as if to belay the words as he said them. He really should get around to making things official.

Kiara shook her head when Valerius mentioned the crowd, a little surprised when the man in front of them addressed her in another language. One she had heard Valerius speak plenty of times now. He had to be family. "Nice to meet you, sir." She smiled after Valerius introduced her, his kiss to her forehead softening the sting she felt at his choice of words. They also made it so that she wasn't quite sure on how formal she should act and she decided to extend her free hand just in case.

Stefan smiled, watching the interaction. "The pleasure is all mine." He told her easily, taking the offered hand and bringing it up for a kiss, bowing over it slightly with his hand behind his back. As he straightened he looked to his son. "Val, invite the miss to dinner, won't you?" He asked, taking out a pocket book and checking his schedule. "We'll leave tonight and fly back in two days," He snapped the book shut, slipping it back in his suit. "It will leave us a few hours before you're introduced at the company."

Valerius nodded, turning and giving her a charming smile. "Bring your family if you want, we're going to our villa in Italy." He ran a hand over his hair, hiding the grimace he felt when his father mentioned being introduced to the company. He turned back, looking perfectly collected. "Yes, father," He agreed. "The official introductions will last a week, won't they?"

Kiara could certainly see where Valerius had gotten his charm from, trying not to blush when his father kissed her hand. He was his father after all. Blushing would be weird. She glanced from one man to the other when they mentioned dinner and then something about a company. The latter sounded like something she wanted to ask about, but the former stole her attention. "Oh, I, uhm- that sounds lovely but I think I'm supposed to have dinner with my entire family tonight? Cousins and all. They've planned one each time one of us graduated and since it's two of us this year I think they've put quite some effort into it..." She trailed off a little. Dinner in italy sounded like a dream but she hardly felt like she could bring along thirteen others. Plus, she would hate for them to embarass her. Which, knowing her family, they certainly would. Especially her brothers. Although in this case she distrusted Zay far more than she did Elijah.
