Proper First Impressions

[Lilith Ilves]

Lilith wasn't sure what the Professor would want to talk to the students about but her guess was he just wanted to get a better sense of who he was teaching for the next two years. With that in mind the Ravenclaw made her way towards Professor Blade's office. She supposed this would be a great opportunity for her to establish a proper opinion and impression on the man himself as well as give one of herself. As she reached the door Lilith raised her hand to it and knocked two times, just to keep it polite. Her mum always said one was too little and three was too much, two was the perfect amount of knocks and if they didn't answer the door for a minute or two you could try two more. So after the knocks were done Lilith stood back waiting for the Professor to either call her in or open the door.

Tobi wasn't sure if he would regret asking each of his students to check in with him but he knew from experience it would be the fastest way for him to get to know them. He was new to the job but not to the school, and his experience as a father, if you could even call it experience, told him that the students would likely need some kind of help. When he heard a gentle knock on his door, he smiled to himself, but by the time he called out for them to enter it was gone. "Come in." He said, flicking his wand to open the door, and then again to summon a chair for the other person to sit down in.

Lilith heard the 'come in' and then the door was open. Taking measured steps the third year closed the door behind her, not too keen to have someone walk by and eavesdrop on the meeting. Not that there was to be expected any juicy gossip from it but still. "Hi, you said we should come to see you sir?" She started while looking around the office on her way to the seat. "I'm Lilith Ilves, just to like put it out there because I don't expect you to already know that and all that." She continued with an awkward smile before taking the seat.
