Hi Dr. Nick!
(Sorry I just had to add a Simpsons quote)
Anywho, there was something that's been bugging me.
I understand that some Professors have multiple accounts, maybe a member or a student etc. I wanted to know; What's stopping them from having a student who takes their particular class and giving them unnecessary good marks for every post that their student does under their subject?
Is it trust in their common decency, is their actually a moderated system in place to stop this or hasn't the problem ever come up, and therefore there are no precautions have been taken?
Thanks! - Arty

Hi there,

I split your post from the suggestions thread because it is more a question than a suggestion. ;) Though my answer to your question might spawn a suggestion... :r

To be honest: nothing is stopping them. Most professors with students don't do their own exams etc. etc. as it seems kind of silly from an out of character point of view.
Granted, in character the student wouldn't know everything, or everything the professor would know - but very few people think about the difference between their OOC knowledge and their character's IC knowledge.
So I guess that's one of the benefits of having a professor and a student, you give yourself good marks.... :tut: :r

Lucky ducklings xD

Sorry, I suppose I got a little confused by the questions everyone was asking (i.e. "Why haven't you changed this?" or "Could you change this?" )

Hope you don't mind me replying to this as well Nick.

I have a professor Artemis and a few students. I have always gotten good grades in every subject I post and would feel it utterly redundant to cheat my character by not posting properly in my professors class. It is a trust thing at the end of the day, I don't know how other professors work it.

I even do the exams. It's basically so my character can have a decent career at the end of her scholastic career but I don't know if others are as anal as I am about this.

Personally if you have a student taking the class with your professor then your student should complete the lesson, and then you mark it fairly; using the same system you use for everyone else. Or you have someone else mark it.

It could be seen as a trust thing, but is there truly a point in cheating it?
