Closed Pre-Arranged Fun

The last time he'd spent time with Kairi, he had invited her to the dance. He had thought rather than meeting up with her at it, which they were likely to do, to just jump the gun and invite her out to it. It was just as friends, they were just friends, he knew he was too young to really be thinking about dating, uninterested in it too. He just wanted to spend time with kairi, simple as. He was at the hall, just waiting for her to show, eager to just have some fun with her.

Kairi skipped down to the dance in her school uniform, humming and twirling along to the music that was drifting out to her. It didn't take her long to find Daiki- it was nice to have a friend to go to these sorts of things with. "Hi!" She greeted, bouncing up to him and offering out her arm. "Wanna go dance?"

Daiki looked at Kairi as he spotted her and smiled easily. "Yeah!" he agreed, taking her arm and heading towards where they would be able to dance. He was eager to just have some fun with her.

Kairi felt like they'd fallen into a bit of a routine- there was an event, they met up, they danced. But it was a familiar routine and she enjoyed it. She laughed as they got to the dance floor, spinning about a bit and just enjoying the music. "Do you think that these events will change as we get older?" She asked him.

Daiki considered the question and then shrugged. "I'm not sure, depends on how you mean by change," he replied. "They might do, if we get dates and stuff," he said, thinking that older kids probably took the event way more seriously than they did.

 

[Kairi Kennedy]

Kairi giggled. "Do you think having dates would be more fun?" She asked, curious. She did a little spin, enjoying the twirl of her skirts. "I don't see how it'd be any different than hanging out with you. I don't think anyone could be more fun than being here with you."
