Once the practice was over and the Gryffindor team retreated to the locker room to get changed again, Stan was feeling rather tired and was aching all over from all the flying and throwing and stealing that he had done. He thought that he had done a good job, though and was very happy that he was a part of the team at least. Knowing now how much fun he was having up in the air, the Gryffindor regretted not having tried out for a position on the team way sooner. He'd be on the team for two more years if he could keep it up, however, and he was going to try his best to have it stay that way. ‘’You were really good out there,’’ Stan said to Nikko when he had settled himself onto the bench to remove his protective gear. ‘’Do you think that you will let many goals go through this season?’’. The English language was still a bit difficult for him at times, so hoped that he hadn't just offended his dormmate by suggesting that the boy normally let a lot of balls go through.

Nikko was ready to get out of his gear. He was always grateful for it when a bludger came at him but in the air it always made him feel bulky. He made it work but it didn't mean he liked to be in it any longer than he had to. He sighed as he took off his arm guards first tossed them into the locker where he kept his things when he heard Stan talking to him. "Thanks." he said a little sheepishly. He still didn't know how to take a compliment well but he was learning not to argue. Nikko faltered a little at his next question though. "Well hopefully not as many as I did today." he joked. Chloe was no joke on the pitch and she always kept him humble. He just hoped in a real game all this practice would be worth it. "It's cool that you finally tried out for the team." he said before turning his attention to the padding on his legs.

Stan smiled at Nikko’s joke and nodded, knowing that the other boy was referring to how well the oldest Chaser had played during the practice. She made playing their position seem easy with how many times she managed to score. He got lucky enough to score a few goals also but not quite as many as Chloe. It made him wonder if he would ever become a Chaser of such high caliber. With enough training and real matches under his belt, probably. Hopefully. Still, he really did think that Nikko had done well today, especially with the pace the Chasers were going back and forth on the pitch. ‘’Thanks,’’ the Gryffindor replied. Even though he wasn’t exactly new to Quidditch and had tried out for the Gryffindor team once before, it was still very much something far out of his comfort zone. ‘’I kind of regret not having tried out sooner now,’’ Had he known that he was a somewhat decent player, then perhaps he would have come to try out for the team sooner. ‘’You should have told me how much fun it is to play for the Gryffindor team,’’ he added jokingly while stashing his protective gear into his backpack.

Nikko was finally free from his pads and sighed, taking a moment to let himself relax after being on a broom all afternoon. He laughed at Stan's joke but his smile fell shortly after. He did feel a little bit bad for not encouraging his roommate but it wasn't like they had ever been that close. The other boy usually kept to himself and Nikko wasn't much better most of the time. His mom always said communication was a two way street but in their case, neither of them were driving. "I thought it was obvious. Getting hit with bludgers is a total blast." he said with a sarcastic grin. "But in all seriousness..." he began. "If you ever want to get some extra practice in just let me know." Nikko offered. He was always up for extra practice and maybe they could finally get to know each other.
