As it was the most likely the last this group of now former students would all be together in one setting, Cecily and others had decided they should have their one last hoorah. The Great Hall, now cleared of all chairs and the graduation having taken place hours ago, was now decorated with a lovely night sky complete with thousands of twinkling stars and even a few shooting stars streaked brilliantly across it. The atmosphere was fun loving, nostalgic yet joyous.

The graduates were in attendance, as were the Headmistress and a few chaperones.

Either the dance had been a complete secret or Estrella had been oblivious to the announcement. She would like to think it was the former. One thing was for sure, if she had known she would have found some way to drag a dress along with her. It was too bad that the younger visitors couldn't attend, but she would probably catch up with Lily later and she had already had a few days set aside to spend time with Courtney this summer. Standing by herself under the magically decorated night sky, she crossed her arms over her chest and observed her surroundings. The looming presence of NEWTs had not given much leeway for reality. Though the exams were right under their noses, so was the end of the year.

Still feeling ecstatic over the day's events, Cyndi stepped into the Great Hall. Apparently, some kind of party for the graduates had been planned. The night sky enchanted on the ceiling was beautiful, and as Cyndi saw a shooting star fly by, she stopped and closed her eyes. Let me be successful, Cyndi wished and opened her eyes to take in the rest of the scene.

She spotted Estrella already there and walked over to her quickly. "Don't you wish everyday could be like today?" the eighteen year old mused as she stepped right beside her friend.

Jaken was ignorant of the dance but he thought of this as a way to make it up for the horrid beginning of the Yule Ball for Estrella. He approached her and Cecily with a huge grin upon his face. He greeted, "Hey Estrella. Hey Cyndi. Did either of you two know about the dance tonight?" Jaken glanced around, and wished he had brought something a little looser to wear. At least he did not want to over Estrella's body with some kind of cloth. Jaken glanced up at the sky and saw a few shooting stars. If only tonight would last forever. Jaken ran his fingers through his hair, feeling like he shouldn't sweep Estrella away from her friend just yet.
