Old School Week Post-Exam Reading

With his last exam done, Emmanuel had grabbed his favourite book and come to the library. he found a quiet spot near the back of the library, away from most others and settled down with a book. Looking forward to getting some alone reading time.

 

[Dorian Fitzwilliam]

Dorian was usually content to stick to normal social norms in the library and keep to himself but he couldn't help but slip a little closer to Emmanuel when he spotted him in the library, curious to see what the amateur historian was reading. "Prepping for the next club debate then?"

 

[Emmanuel Okoye]

Emmanuel glanced up at the voice and smiled at Dorian. "Maybe," he joked lightly. "You?"

 

[Dorian Fitzwilliam]

Dorian wasn't very good at carrying on conversations or joking, searching for a moment to try and say something clever before just shaking head. "I could be, you know any more of those historical muggle figures you guys kept talking about?"

 

[Emmanuel Okoye]

"There are so many historical figures with checkered pasts," he said with a smile. "Certainly lots that will encourage debate,"

 

[Dorian Fitzwilliam]

"I think it's more interesting to discuss someone who's done something of merit," Dorian said proudly.

 

[Emmanuel Okoye]

Emmanuel didn't think there was necessarily a distinction. "Who has done something of merit?" he asked

 

[Dorian Fitzwilliam]

"Well, like Flamel, at least he was notable for his achievements. Though I guess you can't just ignore a historical figure because they were controversial," Dorian reluctantly admitted.

 

[Emmanuel Okoye]

"You can't, but you don't need to respect them," Emmanuel said.
