Halloween wasn't usually Kas' thing. Or rather, actually dressing up and properly attending wasn't his thing. Showing up to steal lollies and heckle peoples' costumes definitely was more his thing. This year though, he'd suspected that sort of thing wasn't going to fly with Michael around. Over the past year, Kas had gotten familiar enough with him to know an event like Halloween would be met with full enthusiasm and merriment, and if Kas wanted to escape unmerried, he needed to come up with his own plan. Which was where Eric came in.
Admittedly, Kas felt a tiny bit guilty, pulling Eric into the most unoffensive costume he figured he could get the Gryffindor to agree to avoid his own boyfriend, but Kas was resolute he'd made the right decision the second he saw Michael hopping around in a bunny suit. Keen to avoid making eye contact with Michael, who Kas was somehow unsurprised to find was weirdly pulling off the bunny ears, and risk being the target of some sort of trick or treat scheme Kas grabbed Eric's arm, dragging him unceremoniously into the maze set up in the great hall. He'd already dragged Eric out here, so dragged him a little further was probably fine. "Hey, I've never been in here, let's find out what sort of things Alicastell actually things are scary," he said, casting one last glance back over his shoulder at Michael talking to Jenna before slipping into the maze.
