Pink rose for @Celia Vuong

The perks of being to deliver roses as a professor were that Noelle already knew most of the students, especially those who were in his class. He did not need to resort to dumping them at their house tables in the Great Hall. He decided to finish this delivery before making his way back to his office and preparing for his next class. Just as he rounded the corner, he saw the prefect come out from their lounge. He lengthened his strides, waving a hand to catch her attention.

One of the major perks of being a prefect was the private lounge on the second floor. It was the only place in the castle that was completely off-limits to younger students, and Celia enjoyed ducking in there whenever she needed to get away from the hordes of first years that roamed the school. Plus, it was a convenient place to stop and rest when she didn't want to make the trip all the way back to the dungeon.

Celia had just completed a reading for class in the quiet lounge and was heading out when she spotted Professor Maxwell waving towards her. She hesitated for a moment, glancing around to see if he was actually gesturing to the person next to her. But no, he was looking for her. As Celia walked up to meet him, she mentally ran through the events of the past few days, trying to figure out if she'd done anything that might land her in trouble. She was pretty sure she hadn't yelled at any first years lately. And she'd been doing fine in Defense Against Dark Arts — or so she thought. "Hi Professor Maxwell," Celia said with a polite smile. "You needed me?"

"Hello, Ms. Vuong. Nothing in particular but I am actually here on rose business.", Noelle explained with a small smile as he held up the rose for her to see. He had the roses individually wrapped in some colored Japanese paper tied with a ribbon that matched the rose's color. "There's also a note attached to it.", he added.

Just in case no one else sent you any.
xoxo
Caleb

"You're delivering roses?" Celia asked, a touch of incredulity in her voice. She thought it more than a little weird that a professor was participating in an event for students, especially this event. Her opinion was not helped when she saw that he'd taken the time to individually wrap each rose in paper and matching ribbon. At the sight of the pink rose, doubt flickered across Celia's face. She thought of Louis, but surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to try and send her a pink rose. Besides, she'd already gotten a rose from him.

Careful not to betray any emotion, Celia took the flower and waited a beat, wondering if Professor Maxwell was really planning on sticking around to watch her read the note. It seemed he was. Again, weird. She pulled the ribbon and opened the note, revulsion overtaking her when she read the message. Holy sh*t, why was Caleb so obsessed with her? It took Celia a moment to rearrange her features into a much more pleasant expression, and she smiled politely at Professor Maxwell. "Thank you for the delivery." She was starting to wonder just how many notes she would have to throw out by the end of the day.

Noelle nodded at Celia's question with a smile. "Of course. It has been a while since I did this. Back when I was still a student here." The moment the girl opened her note, he glanced away to give her some little privacy. He glanced back at her when she spoke up. "You're welcome.", he replied before giving a small wave as he continued on his way.
