Mercury liked taking walks away from people, and while she didn't care much for quidditch, she at least knew where the pitch was. One of the hufflepuff players mentioned the chaser might be practicing and Mercury figured it was a start as she watched onto the pitch.

Leonardo assumed that no one would bother sending him a rose, he didn't really deserve one anyway. So he'd just come to the pitch instead. He was practicing his tossing, throwing the quaffle towards hoops. He was on the ground. Not having bothered to fly into the air as he was trying to just work on throwing and aiming.

Mercury saw who she thought was the quidditch player and swiftly walked towards him to get this over with. "Are you Leonardo?" she asked, barely waiting for a response before shoving the rose at him and running away.

Leeonardo glanced as the girl who had stepped on the pitch approached him. He barely had time to finish nodding before a rose was being shoved at him. he didn't catch it, it fell to the ground as the girl ran. He leaned down and picked up the red rose and the note. The note was nice, and it was nice to get a rose, but he'd sent a yellow rose and he was sure that Jordie would be upset about that.
