--Isaia Romanes was a smaller boy, of just height below average and had yet to really have any sort of growth spurt. Isaia had never really been to the Yule Ball, and he did not ask anyone at all. He just wanted to see what it was like before he would ask anyone. But the moment he stepped into the Great Hall, his boyish face flushed with a bright red and he did not know if he could dance and mingle with the other crowd. Isaia was going to turn and run out before he noticed the one person that had Isaia rather self-conscious and seemed to love to pick on him anyhow. He had no way to escape, and Isaia had no idea what to do. The music and the crowd started come together, and Isaia was trapped in the middle of it. Isaia started to back up when he found an opening, and then when he turned to leave the crowd, Isaia bumped into someone, a very pretty someone and the force alone made him fall flat on his bottom onto the floor. Isaia slowly glanced up and then he saw just who he bumped into, and he could not even mutter an apologize. He just stammered a bit, before he fell into an awkward silence. Shame the boy had yet to even notice that the bully he had, that this was his cousin. Isaia bit his lip, before he summoned what courage he had left to murmured, "I'm so, so sorry..."

Aphrodite Snow momentarily lost sight of her friends in the crowd. Which kind of stunk because she didn't want to be alone in the middle of a crowd. It made her look unpopular and that was something she would rather not think of herself as being. So she was in search of her friends or someone to talk to so she didn't look like she had no friends or anything. Just as she started to walk away she felt someone bump into her body and give it a soft jolt. Really, who in the world would not watch where they were going when there was so many people around. But either way Aphrodite figured that she might as well make sure whomever it was that bumped into her, was alright and didn't die or something chaotic like that. Her body turned and her pale pink dress twirled around her gracefully. When she didn't see anyone standing around her that looked guilty she let her bright sky blue eyes drift down to where a very cute but very frightened looking boy was sitting. Was he the one that bumped into her. "Um...are you okay?" Aphrodite cocked her head to the side as she asked him unsurely. He was acting like she was going to growing another head and breath fire or something. Well the fire part could be true but she wasn't even really that angry at him. Then he apologized to her and Aphrodite raised an eyebrow at him. With a soft shake of her head she bent down and offered him a hand to help him up. "There's no reason to be sorry. It was an accident and everything right? So it's all good, now get up off the floor." Her voice was soft and held a friendly tone to it as she tried to encourage him to open up more and stuff. He acted so timid and she wondered vaguely if he was a Hufflepuff or something.

--How could someone be like, that pretty? Isaia was stumbling on words, even though they were not even coming out of his mouth at all. He had more bravery if he could speak in his native tongue. But Isaia's English was not the best in the world, and often talked too fast for others to really understand. Almost shaking still he did not even look at her in the eyes now, instead he just stared at her dress. He could only stare at that anyway because he was afraid that she was going to tear a new hold in his head for bumping into her. Even if he was the one that fell down anyway. Isaia nodded softly at her question because it was all he could say right now anyway. Well, not say it, but it was all he could do to respond. What was it with girls that just made him want to curl into a ball and hide forever? Well, not all girls because his sisters did not make him feel like that. His sisters were normal as far as he knew. It was just really pretty girls that had him all frightened. Isaia slowly took her hand and he used his own strength to help himself up and off the floor. Once he was standing, he immediately let go of her hand and a bright red hue washed over his cheeks. Isaia had to find the right words, before he muttered, "I-I di-didn't hurt you, did I?" How could he? She was not the one on the floor now, and he was once. Isaia reached around and scratched the back of his neck nervously. She seemed a little younger than him, but not too much anyway. "Um...so um, maybe I should just leave you alone now?" Isaia shrugged lightly, but he truly did not know what to do in this situation. The more people that crowded around him, the more likely he was to bolt from his spot.

This boy was a complete nervous wreck and Aphrodite couldn't even begin to explain what she had done to make him so nervous and everything. The young Gryffindor began to feel bad that she had even been around for him to bump into in the first place because now she was sort of worried that he was going to start crying or something. Then it would make her look like a huge bully or something and that was completely Krystin's job. "No I'm not hurt, why would I be? Besides you were the that fell to the ground you big goofball!" Aphrodite ruffled his hair softly before she gave him a big toothy smile. Showing him that she was completely fine and there was no grudge being held or anything. He looked like he was truly sorry and there was no harm done by him so she wasn't exactly worried about making a huge scene about it. Luckily her friends were not present though because they would have demanded that she say or do something about him bumping into her. But since they were not she was going to just let it slide by. Aphrodite was too far of a sweetheart to let problems persist, oh that and this boy was pretty cute for a chicken butt. Then he asked if she should leave her alone now and a giggle left her lips. "Hey...what's your name?" She asked with a flutter of her long and girly eyelashes. She was trying to appeal to him somewhat or something because frankly he was cute and he was timid as a little deer so she didn't see it as being too harmful or life scarring for him.

--Though Isaia Romanes was normally this nervous, not once had the boy shed a tear. He can be bitter sometimes, and he can be very sarcastic, but that side of him remained locked in a place that no one could ever reach. It just needed a few pushes to be released. Isaia ran his fingers through his hair for a moment, before he turned to really face the girl once more, finding his hidden bravery and then he just had to really grab onto it. But then the younger girl said that she was not hurt which made him feel a little better, and his grip on bravery remained intact. There was no harm done, which meant no foul. He was amazed that he himself was not hurt. Perhaps he was more durable than the way he looks. "Well, you will never know what damage goes on inside your body that you never know about until years later when it becomes too late," Isaia murmured, but there he truly sounded like a Ravenclaw. He shrugged once to dismiss the thought. Then he was asked what his name was. Isaia turned his eyes to her before he placed his hands behind his back. Isaia answered in the bravest and most sturdy tone he could bring up, "Isaia, Isaia Romanes." His Italian accent was noticeable at this point as well. Isaia felt someone bump lightly into him, and he stumbled a bit, before regaining his balance and letting out a sigh. He really needed something stronger to hang onto to. Like a wall. "And you are?" Isaia asked, his sturdy tone not so brave anymore. Seemed like the small bump from an older Gryffindor seemed to have caused his grip on bravery to slip.

Aphrodite figured that this poor kid was either highly bullied or one of those people that happened to be scared of absolutely everything, because he seemed even a little bit afraid of her and she wasn't scary at all. Krystin was the mean and scary one of her friends, she was the talented, stage hogging one. He started to speak and the entire time he did so Aphrodite tried so hard not to bust out giggling at every word that came from his mouth. Finally she decided that she was going to say something about it too. "Are you a hypochondriac or something?" The last thing he said to her about the damage that goes into ones body that they don't find out until later, he sounded a lot like her Uncle Leon who was always freaking out over stuff like that. It kind of made Aphrodite wonder if this little boy obsessively cleaned things or washed his hands all the time and stuff too. Some people in this world were so strange but it wasn't like she had room to talk. She had bird-like tenancies apparently and Aphrodite was a firm believer that aliens kidnapped odd people and everything. The boy told her his name and she happened to think it was really cute too, that and he was so shy. He looked like he needed a hug or some a sugar rush. "Awh! Your name is adorable! Mine name is Aphrodite Snow! I'm a Gryffindor First year, I like sugar cookies, broadway musicals, and shopping for cute shoes! What about you?" Aphrodite edged the Conversation on. She wanted to know more about this little boy other than his name. Guessing that he was too shy and timid to be a Gryffindor, she wondered what house he was in and what he liked to do. Other than bump into girls to initiate conversations.

--However, the moment that Aphrodite Snow mentioned that Isaia might have been a hypochondriac, he raised an eyebrow. Did he really sound like one? He did not mean to at all. Isaia shifted uncomfortably in his position while standing, and he shook his head. No he was definitely not that even though he might have for a moment. Isaia murmured, "No, I'm not a hypochondriac. I just think of all of the possibilities." That was true enough because he did think of like, everything before he really said much anyway. He shrugged once with his shoulders before he rested his arms over his chest. He might have been a Ravenclaw, but he was not a Gryffindor because he was not exactly what one would call brave anyhow. Isaia could barely even speak to the first year about anything, but here he was, still standing which was a miracle all on its own. Isaia was not really that tidy. He was rather average anyway. He kept things clean for the most part, but he did forget some things. Then the girl sounded like someone that had eaten a ton of chocolate frogs anyhow. She sounded like a lot like a hyper young girl. But he learned a lot about her though. Isaia stuttered, "U-Uh... Thanks? I'm a second year, Ravenclaw. Um, I like reading and studying. And spending time with my family? Nothing big." It was really the only thing that he had going for him anyway. He was smart but he did not have much really done or much that he enjoyed. Well, he did love candy too.
