Partie Traumatic

Izaak had not a clue whose party this was that he was imposing on, he had no idea who had paid for the breezer in his hand or whose seat chair he was sitting on. There were several people he knew and a few that he was friends with who, after insisting that he needed to get back on the party scene, had dragged him all the way over to something with little other purpose behind it than ‘Thank God It’s Friday’. A rugged sigh broke from the twenty year old’s lips as he took another thirsty swig from the lemony sweetness of the bottle in hand and reached up with the other to rub it roughly across the back of his neck. His friends were no longer in sight, probably chugging down yet another carton of beer and Izaak was hovering between making a quick escape while he still could or sidling up to a familiar, or not so familiar face to spend the night in their company.

With another thirsty draught from the long neck the breezer was drained empty and Izaak set it down with a distinctive chink against the surface of the table. After watching a few people grind their hips to a song that he couldn’t say he minded, Izaak decided that now was not the time to spend musing bitterly over how better this time could have been spent with his girlfriend instead. He needed to get off of his damned high horse. But as the music changed Izaak could not help but yearn for a night in with the Kooks and his beautiful Isabella and groaned beneath the depths of his breath, “What is this sh*t?”

Whilst pushing up the sleeves of his taupe grey bomber jacket, his azure eyes caught the figure of a girl, no more than a few years younger than him, that had that ‘Queen Bee’ air about her. But it was not her confidence that struck Izaak, it was something else, something familiar. She seemed to remind him of someone so much in fact that he found himself subconsciously smiling at her but quickly caught himself and darted his striking blue eyes away from her to reach for another breezer.

Kadie laughed at the story of someone she didn't know and their audience laughed with her. She barely knew some of these people but she knew quite a few went to Beauxbatons and so, naturally, they knew of her. She was at a random party she had chosen to go to, naturally the person holding the party didn't complain when she announced that she would be attending, if she went then so did the plastics which made boys follow which made their party a good one.

Once again, Kadie scanned the room, trying to find someone that looked interesting. She winced when the song changed, she had been hoping there was some good music as well as there being drinks. She sighed and walked off, ignoring people asking where she was going. The blonde picked up another bottle of her favourite drink and looked around, from the drinks table she had a much better view of the people in the room.

As Kadie turned she saw that the crowd had followed her and someone was continuing their story, she guessed trying to impress he. In all honestly, she really couldn't care less what the girl had to say, the stupid short person was wearing a pink top and green trousers, not the person Kadie would talk to. She saw someone out of the corner and turned to see a boy, no, man looking at her with a smile on his face. "See you laters. Oh, and get some fashion sense would ya'?" She smiled before walking away, hearing the laughs of the surrounding people, obviously directed to the small girl. Kadie smoothed out her outfit and approached the boy and sat next to him, ignoring the person who was about to sit there and waited for them to leave. "Hi there, Who might you be?" There were only a few people here that she didn't know but he seemed to be the only interesting one out of that few.

The uniquely bright blue of Izaak’s eyes flicked feverishly over to the younger girl again from down the neck of his drink. She looked so oddly familiar yet she didn’t act familiar and she had him rightly stumped. Their eyes met across the room and the twenty year old deftly flicked his away once more to stare at an antique ornament hung on the wall. But in the limits of his peripheral vision he caught her frame striding forward and he knew that he could avoid her glamorous presence no longer.

An amused snort escaped him as she claimed the seat beside him that another party-goer had had their eyes on. It was rather trivial to see them bow down to her nature, almost pathetic in a way. Though Izaak had no more time to pity the person with their back now slowly turning away as a bright question bubbled from the blonde, enquiring after him. “I’m Izaak, Izaak Finch.” Said the blue-eyed boy as he raked a hand coolly through his wisped hair. His eyes narrowed then and he gazed at her, as if trying to depict a relation she might have to him. “And you?”

Kadie smiled as the older male told her his name. "Izaak? Nice name. I'm Kadie, Kadie Walsh." She smiled, in her flirty manner, and flicked her hair back. She took another sip of her drink, this had to be done carefully. She could make this guy three things to her, an enemy who hates her attitude, aa guy who fncies her and loves everything she does, or a friend who would look good as she spoke to him and ignored all the little 'wanna bes' who flocked around her.

"Who here do you know then?" Kadie knew almost everyone here. There were about seven people here, not including Izaak here, that she didn't know. But he had to have been invited by someone or know someone and decided to crash their night out. Though, she was doubtful as he was sitting alone when she came over. Maybe he had a girl somewhere or a bunch of guys out getting girls. Something along those lines.
