Orélie likes to take the lead, taking comfort in feeling in charge. It takes awhile for her to open up, but once committed, Orélie dives into everything wholeheartedly, whether that be school activities or friendships. Orélie values her privacy and wants to make sure she is in control of the image others perceive.

FAMILY+ HISTORY
Daughter of a long-standing French wizarding family on her mother's side, and a less than pretigious Cajun wizarding family on her father's side, Orélie grew up splitting her time between Paris and New Orleans as much as possible. Her father, Julius, runs his own business, hosting actual ghost tours to New Orlean's magical tourists. It was through this business that he met Orélie mother, Chantel, daughter and heir to the Dubois Potion Bottle Manufacturing, based out of Paris. Though the travel sometimes strains their family, the Manuel's are none-the-less a close knit unit. When it came to Orélie schooling however, there was never any doubt in her mother's mind she would be spending it at her own alma mater, Beauxbatons.
Once at Beauxbatons, it didn't take Orélie long to find her feet, or to find her people. She bonded quickly with her roommates Nadine De Rosier and Bijoux Laurent, and the trio formed a lasting friend group known as the BON Squad (BijouxOrélieNadine). In their third year, the group was joined by Simone Moreu-Chen, who had been their yet unknown missing piece of their squad and taking the "S" in their squad name.
